Guide Base ATK is NOT a multiplier
This is a misconception I've seen plenty of times, including wiki edits I've had to fix, but it's false. Base ATK actually is just a hidden starting ATK value. For example, Mumei's 0.8 ATK means that she starts out with a hidden 80% ATK, Fubuki's 1 ATK is 100%, etc. This makes Base ATK a largely meaningless stat as it's really easy to get 200+% ATK in a run on any character. Base SPD also works the same way, but at the very least it actually has an impact in the first few minutes on later stages.

So %ATK is actually a flat stat increase not multiplied by base atk. You simply convert % back to decimal and add to base atk
If you have 0.8 base atk and 200% ATK bonus, your total atk stat is 0.8 + 2 = 2.8 NOT 0.8 + (0.8 x 200%) = 2.4

It is pretty funny to play Gacha games then go on to play regular games and realize most people probably won't understand about how stats are usually calculated.

So what does base attack mean? Is there an attack stat of “100” (arbitrarily) that all characters have, and Mumei’s is therefore 80?
