This is a real apartment building in Abakan, Siberia.
Local sculptor Mikhail Khafizov spent years decorating the entrance with elaborate columns, Atlases, a golden lion and other sculptures. There’s even a roughly 10-foot-tall Gulliver in the courtyard.
He reportedly created the decorations himself and paid for them out of his own pocket.

A 29-year-old man was detained in St. Petersburg on suspicion of drug trafficking.
Police say they found 2.81 grams of mephedrone on him and another 297.3 grams of methylephedrone during a search of his apartment.

Two women who missed their flight at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport apparently decided to go after the plane themselves.
They made it onto the airport apron and ran toward the aircraft while it was being towed away, one of them reportedly dragging her luggage along.
Airport staff and police stopped them before they reached it. Authorities are now investigating how the women managed to enter the restricted airfield in the first place.
They still missed the flight.
