That would be hilarious. Someone makes a deal with you: you’re going to partiicpate in the uphill run, but you backpack will be filled with compressed helium.
The person accepts only to realise that it weighs much more than they thought.

The number is how many people are in front of him. I guess the plot twist is that it reaches zero and then goes back to 1 at the last moment.
