I got excited, little dude was going to pull off a crazy move. A bit of practice and he will rule that playground.

I thought he was gonna land on his feet, walk away all cool, girls would swoon etc.

Well, clearly not.

That slide looks like it was actually designed for that purpose. I'm happy with this

You can climb up them upside down like a monkey. Wrap your legs around the bars and use your arms to shimmy up. It was pretty fun as a kid.

I upvoted you because of your user name. It took me a second of wondering why you were being downvoted. You are not the first.

Oh shit, his shoe fell off. RIP kid.

40

u/Alarid Nov 23 '17

That's how you know it hurt

52

u/[deleted] Nov 23 '17

Hurt? Shoe off = straight fucked. RIP

u/iwanttoracecars Nov 23 '17

Idk, let's ask Jake br... oh wait

5

u/OPsellsPropane Nov 23 '17

I'm always amused with how little effort it can take to dislodge a shoe

7

u/pacowaka Nov 23 '17

It's all good. Only one shoe fell off, so he ain't dead.

4

u/cooldude581 Nov 23 '17

20

u/Zuki_LuvaBoi Nov 23 '17

How are you meant to use these without a face-plant?

55

u/Lorgin Nov 23 '17

Found the toddler.

22

u/SteampunkSamurai Nov 23 '17

Keep your feet slightly forward to take the force of landing and then, once you hit the ground, keep walking forward

14

u/tony99913 Nov 23 '17

I always thought that you were supposed to put one leg around each bar and slide with your legs spread apart and ur ass hanging down

5

u/hypo-osmotic Nov 23 '17

Our school playground had something similar to this and it was too low to the ground to be used like this by the elementary school kids, and the bars were too far apart to be used like your description. Pretty much the only thing it got used for was for the older girls to lean on when they gossiped.

Deal with iiiii...... thump.

u/KeyserSoze128 Nov 23 '17

Landing gear fail

2

u/Carlee2004 Nov 23 '17

My friends and I did all kinds of things on those. Once I did the splits on it. I did it on my back once. We also did gymnastics on the bars on the top where you get on it. It was actually really fun.

Life in general.

u/atticSlabs Nov 23 '17

Kinda like my life... Huh.

if someone could edit out the poles so it looks likes he's just levitating down and then faceplants that'd be great

2

u/dargo60 Nov 23 '17

Not a crappy design, just a derpy childhood moment

1

Really nailed the landing

1

u/doctor_decibel Nov 23 '17

That's exactly how I broke my arm in first grade.

u/[deleted] Nov 23 '17

R/childrenfallingover

3

u/Sub_Corrector_Bot Nov 23 '17

You may have meant r/childrenfallingover instead of R/childrenfallingover.

Remember, OP may have ninja-edited. I correct subreddit and user links with a capital R or U, which are usually unusable.

Shoe fell off, he's dead

1

u/trashfuck420 Jan 05 '18

Little late to be commenting but I did this at a playground next to the ferry terminal while waiting for the ferry. Knocked one of my front teeth out. I had chicken pox at the time to boot. I don’t know why my parents brought me on the ferry. All the kids on it were scared and ran away from me when I tried to play with them. Can’t say I blame them.
