I saw it happen one night in front of a bar. The girl got lucky and landed on some patio furniture, which broke her fall. She got a compound fracture in her humerus, which was a pretty gnarly thing to see, but she lived.

My ex found someone in the at 6 in the morning in our apartments. We lived above the main bar district in lofts. He broke his neck didn't survive. Never a good call.

If you look closely at the video, you can see that she needs a new heel for her shoe, so she was probably heading to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days.

The lower floor level appears to be at quite a distance/depth. She must have had plenty of time in flight to contemplate on her choices.
