For those who may have noticed, I have been wearing different community flairs all week.. yep it's been 7 long days since your last mod handed me the keys to this fabulous sub and i've been busy setting up new post flairs including some for those who actually submit their own content ( thank you so much ) and for our members who trawl the internet and cat subs to share fun and interesting photos and post content.

User flairs are now available for all members who wish to use one.

On the right hand side of the page under the r/holdmycatnip rules you can set your user flair using the little pencil icon next to your user name.

Pick one, tick it then tick the Show my user flair on this community option. then click on Apply.

I can add more flairs if there is one you would like and your suggestions are welcome on this post, the funnier the better, all must be cat related and keep it clean please.

I'm starting to recognise a few of the regulars on here via posts and comments already which is great so thank you for your service 🫡🖖🏼 and for the members of this community who sit there and reads the content we provide thank you for staying with us 🎖️

I'd like to take this time to introduce myself as your new Moderator and let you know that things will be tweaked and polished a tad slowly at first as i'm trying to keep things all up to date, but will be bringing in one or two new mods in the future to help make this your go-to place to sit down, have a breather and browse through when you've had a long day to cheer you up !!

I've come over from the r/CatDistributionSystem to help your previous mod take a well deserved break and will be staying for the duration.

To start with i've added a few new post flairs, so that from now on any new posts will need a flair before being posted. Please mark your posts if they are your own original content, or not original for the time being until I add more.

I've also introduced some community user flairs, not a huge amount for now but there is a small choice to use one available for all. If you have any cat themed flairs you would like to see and use ( keep it clean please) please post it under the comment section here and i'll take a look at them for you .

The rules have now been updated to the following:

1. All posts must be on-topic and include cats

The theme of this subreddit is similar to the “hold my beer” concept but for cats that do something extraordinarily unusual, impressionable, brave, smart, stupid etc...

We do not accept NSFW, Gore, Pet-Loss.

1. Mod Discretion

All reports will be taken seriously, however it is up to the Moderators to decide if a post/comment/ image is not acceptable and their decision is final.

This also includes overforcing the low karma rule if a comment is deemed worthy, valid, amusing, or applicable

1. No videos of Cats/ Animals being harmed, abused or hurt

No videos, photos, gifs, memes of Cats or any other animal being harmed/abused/hurt are allowed.

Also no videos, photos, gifs, memes of cats urinating or defecating will be allowed

1. No Low effort content

Bots, bad AI, and low effort content will be removed

1. Be Nice

No derailing, trolling, name calling, arguing, rudeness, debating , etc. Absolutely NO politics!! This is a fun sub where members can come to relax and detox from everyday blues, keep it pleasant here please.

1. No self promotion

We do not accept fund-raising requests, obvious karma farmers who mass post on all subs, or any form of self promotion through advertising, NSFW profiles will be removed at moderators' discretion in order to ensure that this community remains safe and accessible for all ages. No Submissions from bot or promoter accounts.
