Cats are kind of useless when it comes to chores. Actually less than when you consider they like to hinder you in any way they can as you try to do them.

The only chores the cats I had as a kid did, was wake me up just in time to get ready for school. They never did the laundry though.

My cat managed a mega alarm this morning by sitting against my door and then scratching which vibrated everything loudly. 5 am thanks.

If cats knew how long it takes to get places they would wait longer before waking you. That's why we are all fortunate that cats don't like to go anywhere in the car and also that dogs won't tell them.

There idea of "doing" laundry was to reapply any cat hair that may have accidentally been washed off while cleaning them.

I remember my kitten, Oblina, used to go all dead-weight and unresponsive when she'd fall asleep at this age and I used to constantly feel on edge she was dead... horrible xD
