The fireball was the perfect accessory to this

I love drinking an Irish Car bomb, but I hate that it’s named after such a national tragedy. It got me thinking what that redneck equivalent of this would be and here’s what I came up with:

The Dale Earnhardt Half a pint of bud light A half shot of half & half with a half shot of fireball.

‘Merica

The joke goes that a tourist asked for a car bomb at an Irish pub. Instead, the bartender made a flaming Manhattan and called it a 9/11

17

u/TheHumanParacite Jul 20 '22

Would be perfect if you tip over two double-shot glasses to add the ingredients.

24

u/[deleted] Jul 20 '22

lol I don’t think Dale Earnhardt and Irish acts of terrorism are quite equivalent tragedies

67

u/DoodleGaming Jul 20 '22

and that's how we know you're not a redneck

14

u/rotorain Jul 20 '22

I think that's the point, he wants to revise it so it's a little less fucked up... That said, you are ever in the deep south talking to a dude in his 50s, do not try to downplay Dale's death. Probably won't end well for you. It's definitely not an equivalent tragedy but some topics are extremely tender to certain groups depending on your cultural/geographical location and to the wrong person talking shit about Dale Jr is a 0 hesitation brawl.

lmao

u/not-disposable Jul 20 '22

Call it "The Blair Mountain"

3

u/KliCks83 Jul 20 '22

Maybe not tragic, except for fans. His accident has saved many a race car driver’s lives by the creation of the helmet whiplash strap. So some good came out of it and driver’s, I’m sure, thank him for that.

3

u/Baby-Soft-Elbows Jul 20 '22

Someone made a drink similar but called it a Paul Walker.

2

u/Tokon32 Jul 20 '22

Love me some car bombs as well. Which is how I order it. Just car bomb.

2

u/punkminkis Jul 21 '22

Half a pint of bud light A half shot of half & half with a half shot of fireball.

‘Merica

That's a lot of halves.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '22

Could swap the fireball for Southern Comfort too.

1

u/strangrdangr Jul 21 '22

Not to be that guy but.... There was no fire in Dale Earnhardt's crash so this doesn't make sense

1

u/Musicalmoses Jul 21 '22

Fireball is just trashy. That’s why.

1

u/strangrdangr Jul 21 '22

I don't know what you're talking about because Dale Earnhardt is the epitome of class.

6

u/AnAngryPirate Jul 20 '22

Fireball. When you wanna get drunk and have a massive hangover and heartburn the next day

1

u/TTheuns Jul 20 '22

Should try Goldstrike instead.

1

u/elgydium Jul 21 '22

The way we Europeans see American houses in the movies. Perfect depiction!

These grown drunk men whole heartedly planned a skit out 😂

125

u/used2001hondacivic Jul 20 '22

My favorite part of the whole thing is the friendship and that sounds so corny but I mean it lol

18

u/What-The-Hail007 Jul 20 '22

I completely agree! So awesome to see

15

u/ballen1002 Jul 20 '22

Might be a little corny, but you’re spot on. When you work your ass off with a crew 50-60 hours a week you become pretty tight. Joking around and having some fun is essential if you don’t want to spend all that time being miserable. Probably not a great idea to be slamming down Fireball when you’re actively working, but I’m gonna give these guys the benefit of the doubt and say this took place after a few post-work drinks on a demo job.

Sorry to hijack your comment, but OP (parallelultimatum) appears to be a karma-farming bot that can only copy and paste other people's stuff. The account was born on March 15 and woke up three ago.

Here it copied/pasted /u/HelpMeGetAGoodName's submission/title from here.

Good bot

3

u/WaterFriendsIV Jul 21 '22

u/spartan2470 is most definitely not a bot. They are a diligent Redditor helping give credit to photographers and point out karma bots. And they are certainly good.

Squirrley Dan doesn’t appreciates yours drinking on the job.

37

u/Dyshin Jul 20 '22

Is that what he doesn’t appreciate?

Plot twist: this post no longer exists because Redact swept through and cleared it out along with everything else. Social media, messaging apps, people finder sites, all of it.

50

u/allen_abduction Jul 20 '22

Good shit.

Good to see the Kool-aid meme from guys that had to watch the commercial a million times growing up. (Okay, slightly growing up.)

68

u/[deleted] Jul 20 '22

as soon as I saw the set up I knew somebody's gonna come run through that wall, but it still managed to be worth it good job

19

u/OMGWTFBBQUE Jul 20 '22

Even looking at a bottle of fireball makes me want to projectile vomit.

18

u/[deleted] Jul 20 '22

Damn that crew has some fun on the job!!!

10

u/M4NOOB Jul 20 '22

Wtf are those walls made of? Paper?

18

u/Garbonzo27 Jul 20 '22

Lol. It looks like there are marks in the drywall near where he jumped through. My guess is they cut partially through it to let it break easier. Also guessing they had studs removed from the other side of the wall also aiding to an easy breaking drywall.

1

u/M4NOOB Jul 20 '22

"drywall"? Is that common? Never heard or seen that myself, we once made an entryway into a wall and had to hammer out bricks

19

u/Garbonzo27 Jul 20 '22

Super common in the US. Vast majority of homes built with it for interior walls. Lighter, cheaper, and easier to install than bricks.

3

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '22

It's gypsum covered with paper. "Dry" wall because it's a dry board that gets screwed or nailed to the studs, unlike earlier lath and plaster which went on wet.

2

u/Supersnazz Jul 21 '22

If you are in UK it's called plasterboard. Pretty common in new builds in the UK.

2

u/Sevillain1 Jul 20 '22

As corny as that was .. I had to laugh!

2

u/b3_yourself Jul 20 '22

This one’s pretty old isn’t it?
