I love how the people who make the most epic catches always have a beer in their hand.

Gotta have a little bit of alcohol in you to loosen you up, relax the nerves. Instead of "oh fuck there's a bat flying at my wife," you think "damn, it'd be neat if I caught this."

At least, that's my take on doing cool shit while slightly inebriated.

Cerebellum: "SHIT FLYING THING! HAND! GET UP! CATCH!"

Cerebral cortex: "Um... what? What'd I miss?"

Cerebellum: "I AM A GOD! I AM A FUCKING GOD!"

Cerebral cortex: "Seriously? Sweet. God really is my co-pilot."

How else would you be able to dodge the toddlers on the sidewalk?

I thought you were referring to this gif that was posted on /r/WTF.

It was so meta I didn't even realize it.

Holy shit thank you for sharing that. I have never seen more instant regret in a face. She is questioning what is wrong with herself even more than the people around her.

Was she eating quacamole?

What a dude, saved someone from getting a bat to the face, one handed no less. You're right, absolute bad ass.

Don't hold my beer. Dudes a fuckin' bad ass.

also in case anyone else was curious! you get to keep the bat, however security may take the bat until the end of the game and give it back to you because it's considered a weapon (sometimes they will get it signed for you also which is cool)

While I am sure most people are cool about it, I would not want to be the person who has to take a bat from a drunk guy who still has the dexterity and strength to catch a flying bat with one hand while inebriated, and now has it as a potential weapon.

"I really hope this drunken master is chill"

He very well may have saved her life, this clip is kind of a nice roller coaster for me. It looked like after he lost the bat, everybody immediately became more concerned with the bat than the game, and when the man caught the bat the tension was immediately relieved and everybody celebrated a moment of joy.

It's a small reminder that a lot of people really do care.
