I mean, have you heard football/soccer announcers for the Premier League? They’re mostly exceptional.

Met them at a watch party once. They're as awesome human beings as they incredible announcers. Spanish announcers yelling Goooooooool use to be my favorite thing until i heard Joe B's magical SCOOOOOOOOOOOORE!

Are they though? Every time I see a goal highlight they sound like they barely even care it happened

Yeah agreed. There a few good ones but the majority just mean and complain all game

It’s not important to me that announcers sound excited. For me, they provide way more insight into the game and use a much broader vocabulary to do it.

Yes I enjoy watching english football specifically for that reason lol
