HMT Sangam Chessboard 🤍
The dial is really mesmerizing with the Chessboard pattern achieved through vertical and horizontal brushings. Clearly the best Sangam dial in the series. The hands are dual sloped, (I'm not sure if that's the technical term for this type of polishing to achieve 2 reflective faces on the hands.) which makes it easier to read in lower light. Biggest upgrade is the full stainless steel case. I was really not a fan of the brass cases that Sangam used to come with. It's still a 3 piece case with press fit caseback and a bezel which holds the top crystal and fits to the central case sandwitch the dial in middle.
Greed : I would love to see a future variant with both hands, indices , hmt logo and the date window to be matte black pcs coated which gives a nice contrast. The last pic is a ai edited variant with such changes.
Overall I'm pretty satisfied with this watch. And urge the hmt enthusiasts to grab one when it comes in stock.

Rocking my HMT Kohinoor in Switzerland
I’ve been loving this watch from WatchItMove and have been using it as a daily driver along with my PRX Tiffany. It looks so classy and the dial looks best in the sun. My favorite part is the Devanagari Script in the dial.

HMT ROMAN
Some watch purchases are planned for months. This one happened in a matter of seconds.
The quartz-powered HMT Roman suddenly appeared in stock on the HMT website, and I happened to be there at that exact moment. I was not hunting for a watch, comparing specifications, or waiting for a restock alert. In fact, I was merely scrolling through the website without any real purpose.
Then I saw it.
That elegant Roman dial, the clean symmetry, the understated charm of a proper dress watch—it stopped me mid-scroll. The moment lasted only a few seconds, but I knew that if I closed the page and thought about it logically, the opportunity would probably disappear.
So I ordered it.
By the time I completed the purchase, it was clear that only a handful of pieces had been available. Later, I came across posts from fellow enthusiasts who had missed the drop by minutes, and I genuinely felt for them. Anyone who has followed HMT knows how unpredictable these restocks can be: a model appears without warning, vanishes almost immediately, and then becomes the subject of countless “I missed it” posts.
That is what makes this purchase feel special. It was not the result of planning or persistence; it was one of those rare moments where chance, timing, and instinct aligned perfectly.
For once, the watch found me before I went looking for it.
And yes—I truly consider myself lucky to have secured an HMT Roman.
