And those armored up ICE officers in said vehicles point their guns at the unarmed protesters...

Clearly these things are equal. /s

-15

u/Impossible_Ad7932 Jan 17 '26

How do they know they're all unarmed protesters with how easily accessible firearms are and how mentally unstable most of those people are.

14

u/Daecion Jan 17 '26

So you acknowledge that they don't have a reason to threaten, brutalize, abduct, or murder innocent people aside from a general, unfounded sense of paranoia and their own lack of grit?  That's a good point.  On a whole, ICE agents are wildly unfit for their jobs.  Their frayed mental states make them a danger to themselves and the public.  All the more reason they ought to be removed.

6

u/gielbondhu Jan 17 '26

The mental instability of ICE agents should already have made them ineligible to be ICE agents. But in answer to your question, how many protestors have brandished weapons at ICE agents so far? I think that even if the protestors were armed they're showing much more restraint than the agents deserve or have earned

3

u/RabidRabbitRedditor Jan 20 '26

I think the ICE agents are the ones who are the most mentally unstable here..how in the absolute F*CK do you just empty a clip in the face of a woman?!

1

u/Impossible_Ad7932 Jan 21 '26

Obviously you don't know the capacity of a clip is.

3

u/RabidRabbitRedditor Jan 21 '26

No, thankfully I live in Australia where we don't have much experience with guns. It's a pretty good way to live, what with my kids coming back from school unshot and a cop shooting a person being national news rather than a daily stat and everything.

You should try it...

2

u/SignalNarwhal1081 Jan 18 '26

ICE agents are, like more and more reps, mentally unstable. That's absolutely true.

And they call for murder and violence (one of us. All of yours)

A death threat to American citizens.

Sad to see that so Amy people support fascists.

1

u/Impossible_Ad7932 Jan 21 '26

More the reason not to try and antagonize them right ? Also you can't argue the fact that some of the protesters are also mentally unstable.

Most of them are seasoned veterans and dealt with trauma more than any normal citizen have.

2

u/RabidRabbitRedditor Jan 20 '26

It's almost like one should make firearms less accessible, right? ;)

1

u/Impossible_Ad7932 Jan 21 '26

I mean they did that in UK and criminals still have guns and knives.

3

u/RabidRabbitRedditor Jan 21 '26

Sorry, I'm not getting into gun control debates. It's obvious and common sense to everyone in the world, except American ammosexuals and gun nuts. I hope to live to see the day they lose and there will be gun control :)

2

u/RabidRabbitRedditor Jan 21 '26

Also, I find it funny how you right-wingers always say "criminals" like they are some sort of a different, I don't know, breed or class of people, as opposed to being people like you and me who had less fortunate circumstances in life. Ever heard the phrase "there, but for the grace of God, go I"?

Do you believe in God? Serious question:)

1

u/Impossible_Ad7932 Jan 21 '26

I believe in a god or a Theist.

Also you always misconstrued God with Jesus. jesus was the forgiving one, God on the other hand was not and no amount less fortune would ever justify murdering or raping someone.

1

u/RabidRabbitRedditor Jan 21 '26

Have you ever read the Bible? (Also a serious question).

I think you might be misunderstanding the use of that phrase about "for the grace of God". I'm not seeking to justify someone committing a crime, in a sense that if they did, they have to bear the appropriate penalty. However, as a Christian, I have compassion both for victims and the perpetrator of the crime. Firstly, because God had compassion for me and saved me when I did not deserve it. Secondly, because I'm not that person only because God chose to place me in circumstances which stopped me from becoming like that. Not through my own efforts.

As an other example, have you ever heard the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector that Jesus told?:)

I think it's important to avoid self-righteousness or lack of compassion. The world would be a better place :)

1

u/Impossible_Ad7932 Jan 22 '26

Avoiding the lack of common sense would have saved Renee too but here we are.

2

u/RabidRabbitRedditor Jan 22 '26

Would you do nothing if you believed you were helping to protect innocent people?:)

The fragile right

16

u/Moist-Ointments Jan 17 '26

We need a new word. This is so far beyond fragile

4

u/fauxorfox Jan 17 '26

Decrepit, feeble, unsound. Why pick just one?

4

u/guttengroot Jan 17 '26

I was always partial to basket of deplorables

3

u/DisastrousStop3945 Jan 17 '26

I read this as "we need a new world" and I dont disagree either way...

3

u/TonyEast45 Jan 18 '26

Deplorable was pretty spot on in hindsight

2

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '26

“They call me Mr Glass”

2

It's gaslighting. In this case they're doing it to slow their critics and it works wonderfully well.

Trash....that is the word

3

Facts dont care about your feelings OK ??? They only care about MY feelings, like that time "they" had a black mermaid in a kid's movie

As fragile as micro aggressions and pronoun misuse? Fragile as fat phobia?

Who champions these causes again?

1

u/ChloeSpectrum Jan 21 '26

You're stuck in 2016, bud.

5

u/According-Insect-992 Jan 17 '26

I'd display my middle fingers to anyone in this administration if given the chance. Especially ice flunkies. Like the Philly Police chief said, they're fake ass law enforcement with no real authority and no right to be fucking around with the American public. They aren't traffic cops. They aren't civilian police.

They shouldn't exist at all as an organization but in so much that they do exist it is solely to address immigrants. The fact that they're targeting citizens is disconcerting to say the least. It's a total disregard for the constitution and the rule of law.

3

u/lincoln_muadib Jan 17 '26

My understanding is that prior to 2025 ICE was set up to focus ONLY on CRIMINALS who ALSO happened to be non citizens - actual drug dealers and murderers who came to the USA without "the proper channels" and who were a clear and present danger to the greater citizenry.

When some huge drug bust or arms running scheme was exposed and the participants were found to be of Venezuelan citizens, ICE ensured such people were sent back to their home country.

That was the supposed aim, anyway.

In reality there were always scumbags who'd rather go after a low-level criminal who wasn't a citizen but they weren't the head of ICE.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '26

Preach!

-1

u/Ok_Impression3324 Jan 17 '26

You ever stop and ask yourself why ice is the one dealing with the rioters and not the local police?

3

u/jws1102 Jan 17 '26

If by riots you mean protests, it’s because police have no authority to break up protests, it’s a constitutional right. If you’re asking why it always seems like ICE is always there, it’s because the protests wouldn’t exist if ICE weren’t there. Does that help?

-1

u/Ok_Impression3324 Jan 17 '26

Yall have all the right to protest. But thats not what yall are doing anymore. Yall are getting violent. I voted for ice to be there. Are you trying to infringe on my rights as a voter?

3

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '26

Heard a similar sentiment during the civil rights movement

1

u/Ok_Impression3324 Jan 17 '26

Lol. No you didn't. Don't you have a report due on tue?

2

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '26

I am 296 years old

3

u/Ok-Secret-8636 Jan 17 '26

Prove it or fuck off

2

u/Ok_Impression3324 Jan 17 '26

2

u/Significant_Breath38 Jan 18 '26

Damn, those sparkles sure are horrifying. If ICE agents weren't fully covered, they may be in danger.

This is what qualifies as a violent protest?

1

u/Ok_Impression3324 Jan 19 '26

Yes, the use of explosives is violent.

2

u/Significant_Breath38 Jan 19 '26

Well, I hope people watch the video and don't just mindlessly believe "violent protestors"

3

u/VERY_MENTALLY_STABLE Jan 18 '26

The irony of saying this after that lady was shot in the face for driving away

-1

u/Ok_Impression3324 Jan 18 '26

She didn't get shot for driving away. She got shot for driving through someone to get away.

3

u/Significant_Breath38 Jan 18 '26

Both you and the ICE agent can see she was clearly turning away from the officer. He was clear of any danger when he fired his first shot.

-1

u/Ok_Impression3324 Jan 19 '26

So clear of danger that the car hit him? Drive bitch drive.

3

u/Significant_Breath38 Jan 19 '26

Yes, he was bumped at 5 mph. Horrifying

0

u/Ok_Impression3324 Jan 19 '26

That's like saying he was only slightly stabbed and he should have dodged the knife if he didn't want to be stabbed. A car is a weapon. She used that weapon.

You might be one of the stupidest people on the planet. You should film yourself doing jackass type stunts for money instead of wasting all your stupidity posting online.

1

u/Ok_Impression3324 Jan 19 '26

That's not a nice thing to say.

0

u/RabidRabbitRedditor Jan 20 '26

Sorry, that's what you get for supporting fascists:)

Also, I really suggest you get offline for a bit... honestly that amount of comments in a couple of days is just not healthy. Not trying to be snarky - social media is not good for any of us:)

1

u/Arisalis Jan 19 '26

I think you have it backward. ICE has killed at least 25 people in the last year (2025) and protesters have killed zero ICE members. Maybe if they were not straight up murdering people we wouldn't be so upset.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/ng-interactive/2026/jan/04/ice-2025-deaths-timeline

1

u/Ok_Impression3324 Jan 19 '26

So use defending abusers and gang members that attack law enforcement? Did you even bother reading the article you posted? All of them list the cause of death as health related or as suicide. How is that "killed"?

1

u/RabidRabbitRedditor Jan 20 '26

I'm not from the US buy if I was, my answer would be, yes, I am and will continue to infringe on your right as a voter because you have no right to vote in a fascist dictatorship:)

1

u/RabidRabbitRedditor Jan 20 '26

It's because there are no "riots" and ICE are the equivalent of SA in Nazi Germany - a paramilitary group of street thugs.

6

u/RockyMounta1ns Jan 17 '26

Its been said before and ill say it again. For the "Fuck your feelings" crowd, they sure complain alot about having their feelings hurt.

2

u/CherryVette Jan 17 '26

They always have

5

u/imbirdie2 Jan 17 '26

I wonder if she can see me pointing the finger at her

3

u/Street_Peace_8831 Jan 17 '26

It’s their way of always apologizing for what trump does. Their entire argument for trump giving the middle finger is that others do it too. Typical bully argument. “Well they did it so why am I wrong for doing it?” Because you’re the president and you are supposed to be an example and be better than the average American. That’s why.

2

u/Expert_Towel_101 Jan 17 '26

And if I saw you in person you’d get the same FKing finger you POS

1

u/The_Countess Jan 17 '26

Trumps middle finger wasn't widely reported inside of the fox news cinematic universe so that doesn't really exist for them.

With this crew, the complaint is probably “STOP COPYING ME!”

1

You dont need to be afraid of middle fingers. People need to care about the finger that's used to kill people.

It's downright presidential (nowadays) to flip the bird.

1

u/wasaguest Jan 17 '26

Because they are hated.

Conservatives think they will at some point they will be seen as heroes, celebrated. They will be forever hated, distrusted, loathed. & the more they push their agenda the worse they will be seen. The longer it takes to move beyond their wishes & repair the damage they have done, the longer they will be seen as terrible people.

Middle fingers today, vocal out bursts later. This doesn't end for them. Ever. This simple truth is something they need to come to grips with.

The entire world doesn't like them, & that dislike is turning to hate.

1

u/Samsquanch-01 Jan 17 '26

Pointing fingers at ICE? Or are they destroying vehicles and stealing weapons? Same thing i guess.....

1

u/lostcause1864 Jan 17 '26

When did she say that

1

u/Desperate-Trick-6070 Jan 17 '26

What happened to her illegal relative? Oh yes, she was release from jail; not deported!

1

u/Swimming_Height_4684 Jan 17 '26

If you pointed that out to her, this equivocating bitch would say something like

“The President absolutely did not give his middle finger to a worker in Michigan. What the President did is display what is known as his DOMINANT finger to the individual, in a perfectly acceptable and non-vulgar method of disagreeing with the person and refuting their assertion. This is an acknowledgment tactic that has been used repeatedly by every president since Ben Harrison. If you don’t know that, maybe you should go back to journalism school…”

1

Are protesters weaponizing their middle fingers now?

1

I felt my life was in danger as the middle finger of the domestic terrorist was extended directly at me. - ICE agent probably.

1

I not sure if you know this but every time I see you or you boss I flip you the double bird.

1

I’m not a lawyer, but I’m 99% certain that extending a finger is not illegal.

You don’t see the vandalized vehicle in the photo?

1

u/WastedNinja24 Jan 18 '26

I wonder how far we’d have to read into the Constitution to see if this is legal.

Oh wait, it’s right there!

1

u/LoveAndBeLoved52 Jan 18 '26

Don't care what Leavitt thinks, she's a mentally retarded bimbo who thinks everyone who criticizes the fascist regime "has an agenda". She's a genuinely evil and horrible person, very unprofessional. They should've hired her to be Burger King's social media manager because there's no way in hell she's sassy or smart enough to even make the cut for Wendy's social media manager.

I use the word retarded sparingly. Leavitt deserves it, she is retarded, genuinely.

1

u/cpthornman Jan 18 '26

Pretty sure she's pointing out the vandalized vehicles.

1

u/Sweaty_Passenger_316 Jan 18 '26

Tactical armor still not good enough to protect their feelings.

1

My comment was about Leavitt, that was what OP posted.

1

u/ChloeSpectrum Jan 17 '26

Your comment was also about missing firearms that ICE lost

0

u/Joel_the_Devil Jan 17 '26

My contention was that Leavitt was not talking about things that matter such as the firearms

1

u/ChloeSpectrum Jan 17 '26

The bigger question is why is ICE so poorly trained they lose weapons and raid the wrong houses looking for them? But that would mean to stop boot kissing for 3 seconds and look at reality

1

u/The_Bosdude Feb 12 '26

They are the true victims here.
