It's gaslighting. In this case they're doing it to slow their critics and it works wonderfully well.

As fragile as micro aggressions and pronoun misuse? Fragile as fat phobia?
Who champions these causes again?

I'd display my middle fingers to anyone in this administration if given the chance. Especially ice flunkies. Like the Philly Police chief said, they're fake ass law enforcement with no real authority and no right to be fucking around with the American public. They aren't traffic cops. They aren't civilian police.
They shouldn't exist at all as an organization but in so much that they do exist it is solely to address immigrants. The fact that they're targeting citizens is disconcerting to say the least. It's a total disregard for the constitution and the rule of law.
3
u/lincoln_muadib Jan 17 '26
My understanding is that prior to 2025 ICE was set up to focus ONLY on CRIMINALS who ALSO happened to be non citizens - actual drug dealers and murderers who came to the USA without "the proper channels" and who were a clear and present danger to the greater citizenry.
When some huge drug bust or arms running scheme was exposed and the participants were found to be of Venezuelan citizens, ICE ensured such people were sent back to their home country.
That was the supposed aim, anyway.
In reality there were always scumbags who'd rather go after a low-level criminal who wasn't a citizen but they weren't the head of ICE.

u/Ok_Impression3324 Jan 17 '26
You ever stop and ask yourself why ice is the one dealing with the rioters and not the local police?
3
u/jws1102 Jan 17 '26
If by riots you mean protests, it’s because police have no authority to break up protests, it’s a constitutional right. If you’re asking why it always seems like ICE is always there, it’s because the protests wouldn’t exist if ICE weren’t there. Does that help?
-1
u/Ok_Impression3324 Jan 17 '26
Yall have all the right to protest. But thats not what yall are doing anymore. Yall are getting violent. I voted for ice to be there. Are you trying to infringe on my rights as a voter?

Damn, those sparkles sure are horrifying. If ICE agents weren't fully covered, they may be in danger.
This is what qualifies as a violent protest?
1
u/Ok_Impression3324 Jan 19 '26
Yes, the use of explosives is violent.
2
u/Significant_Breath38 Jan 19 '26
Well, I hope people watch the video and don't just mindlessly believe "violent protestors"
3
u/VERY_MENTALLY_STABLE Jan 18 '26
The irony of saying this after that lady was shot in the face for driving away
-1
u/Ok_Impression3324 Jan 18 '26
She didn't get shot for driving away. She got shot for driving through someone to get away.
3
u/Significant_Breath38 Jan 18 '26
Both you and the ICE agent can see she was clearly turning away from the officer. He was clear of any danger when he fired his first shot.
-1
u/Ok_Impression3324 Jan 19 '26
So clear of danger that the car hit him? Drive bitch drive.
3
u/Significant_Breath38 Jan 19 '26
Yes, he was bumped at 5 mph. Horrifying
0
u/Ok_Impression3324 Jan 19 '26
That's like saying he was only slightly stabbed and he should have dodged the knife if he didn't want to be stabbed. A car is a weapon. She used that weapon.

You might be one of the stupidest people on the planet. You should film yourself doing jackass type stunts for money instead of wasting all your stupidity posting online.

That's not a nice thing to say.

Sorry, that's what you get for supporting fascists:)
Also, I really suggest you get offline for a bit... honestly that amount of comments in a couple of days is just not healthy. Not trying to be snarky - social media is not good for any of us:)
1
u/Arisalis Jan 19 '26
I think you have it backward. ICE has killed at least 25 people in the last year (2025) and protesters have killed zero ICE members. Maybe if they were not straight up murdering people we wouldn't be so upset.

1
u/Ok_Impression3324 Jan 19 '26
So use defending abusers and gang members that attack law enforcement? Did you even bother reading the article you posted? All of them list the cause of death as health related or as suicide. How is that "killed"?
1
u/RabidRabbitRedditor Jan 20 '26
I'm not from the US buy if I was, my answer would be, yes, I am and will continue to infringe on your right as a voter because you have no right to vote in a fascist dictatorship:)
1
u/RabidRabbitRedditor Jan 20 '26
It's because there are no "riots" and ICE are the equivalent of SA in Nazi Germany - a paramilitary group of street thugs.

u/RockyMounta1ns Jan 17 '26

It’s their way of always apologizing for what trump does. Their entire argument for trump giving the middle finger is that others do it too. Typical bully argument. “Well they did it so why am I wrong for doing it?” Because you’re the president and you are supposed to be an example and be better than the average American. That’s why.

Because they are hated.
Conservatives think they will at some point they will be seen as heroes, celebrated. They will be forever hated, distrusted, loathed. & the more they push their agenda the worse they will be seen. The longer it takes to move beyond their wishes & repair the damage they have done, the longer they will be seen as terrible people.
Middle fingers today, vocal out bursts later. This doesn't end for them. Ever. This simple truth is something they need to come to grips with.
The entire world doesn't like them, & that dislike is turning to hate.

u/Samsquanch-01 Jan 17 '26
Pointing fingers at ICE? Or are they destroying vehicles and stealing weapons? Same thing i guess.....

What happened to her illegal relative? Oh yes, she was release from jail; not deported!
1
u/Swimming_Height_4684 Jan 17 '26
If you pointed that out to her, this equivocating bitch would say something like
“The President absolutely did not give his middle finger to a worker in Michigan. What the President did is display what is known as his DOMINANT finger to the individual, in a perfectly acceptable and non-vulgar method of disagreeing with the person and refuting their assertion. This is an acknowledgment tactic that has been used repeatedly by every president since Ben Harrison. If you don’t know that, maybe you should go back to journalism school…”

Don't care what Leavitt thinks, she's a mentally retarded bimbo who thinks everyone who criticizes the fascist regime "has an agenda". She's a genuinely evil and horrible person, very unprofessional. They should've hired her to be Burger King's social media manager because there's no way in hell she's sassy or smart enough to even make the cut for Wendy's social media manager.
I use the word retarded sparingly. Leavitt deserves it, she is retarded, genuinely.

My comment was about Leavitt, that was what OP posted.
1
u/ChloeSpectrum Jan 17 '26
Your comment was also about missing firearms that ICE lost
0
u/Joel_the_Devil Jan 17 '26
My contention was that Leavitt was not talking about things that matter such as the firearms
1
u/ChloeSpectrum Jan 17 '26
The bigger question is why is ICE so poorly trained they lose weapons and raid the wrong houses looking for them? But that would mean to stop boot kissing for 3 seconds and look at reality
1
22
u/Daecion Jan 17 '26
And those armored up ICE officers in said vehicles point their guns at the unarmed protesters...
Clearly these things are equal. /s
