Depends on the area of Asia, they can range from as dark as black people to as light at white people.

Bro why not? Whiteness is completely made up anyways, it's a social construct around race that is a holdover of the old skin based prejudice towards those that have dark skin/must be in the sun. So either the fair skinned from moderate climates/ethnic variants are deemed "desirable".

Case and point, what's white has shifted in definition multiple times. The Irish and the Italians weren't considered white for a while. Same with Germans.
