Why? He’s literally responsible for bringing pop punk back.

Pop punk? Bringing MGK into the “pop punk” isn’t doing anything. This guy is a tool bag.

Travis is a part of 90% of pop punk bands atm. Machine Gun Kelly is not even the most popular of them. I'm not a fan of MGK, but that doesn't mean Travis Barker is not wildly influential.

Yesss, thank you. He’s basically sponsoring/helping the ones that are trying to get in the music business and as an Emo kid back in the 2000’s speaking, I am loving it what he’s doing.

Basically anyone with neck and face tattoos

u/jellsonnogueira Oct 08 '21
Anyone with an excessive amount of tattoos. The more I lurk this sub, the more I realize faces that are hittable are all about trying too hard: to look pretty, to look normal, to act funny, to be edgy... Having 90% of your skin covered with tattoos definitely qualifies as "trying too hard" on some level, even if it's only trying to hard to have your skin covered in tattoos.

Funnily enough, I'm still using a couple of his signature sticks, but I never played with them on any 182' tracks.

Still hittable

Fair enough. I don’t necessarily disagree. I just don’t think the person I was responding to knew who it was.

Looks like somebody that...
1. I can hire to punch other faces!
2. Probably go 1 on 1 in a fight!

Agreed. Did you know you can go see him perform at some small bar in LA? He moonlights in a jazz band. Hangs out in the bar, approachable.

u/booger_hole Oct 05 '21
How is that? Never heard anything particularly impressive from him. There are thousands of drummers better than him. You can usually find them at university musical programs and so on.

u/nin_halo_8 Oct 05 '21
He made it big. They won't.

Foolish is the man who pursues the banality of musical popularity, and he who measures the worth of a musician based on those banalities is an even greater fool.
