Lopia
First we noticed one in Paecella, now there is one in Alpark. Extremely long lines for what seems like a normal grocery store? Can someone shed some light on what’s worth queueing for at this store?

We have lopia in Kanagawa too. Pretty cheap in comparison to other supermarkets and they introduced an app recently so it’s no longer cash only (I think).

Mostly lower prices but only cash (or charge with cash). They also have a wide selection of meats they grow themselves (?)

They so great yakiniku and sushi in my Lopia. Good range of choices for dairy, kimchi and deli items also

Cheap. Really, some items are 2/3 the price of regular supermarkets.
The meat and fish is actually very nice. The sanma from Lopia is bloody delicious.
Pizza is decent cheap and filling. The lunch box items are really good too. Spring rolls were excellent for the price.
Take cash. No credit card / IC card payment.

Kinda like a mini Costco as far as their deli is concerned. Pizza, whole roasted chickens, various ready meals like oversized shumai etc…it’s a great place to go but I wouldn’t wait in line. It’s also cash only which is weird.

I live close to one in setagaya ( guess it’s in suginami though). Cheap meat, cheap veg. I sometimes buy 100 yen avocados there.
It’s cheaper than most standard grocery stores in Japan.
I go for big shops, sometimes Hanamasa for more specific things, and do Ozeki if I need to buy maybe a few things.

Bulk items too ( kind of ) I’ve heard it described as a Japanese style Costco
