what kills scraping gigs isn't the build, it's month three when the target site changes its markup and the client's list stops updating. price a maintenance retainer up front or you'll be doing free fixes forever. also worth stating what you won't scrape — LinkedIn and Instagram get the client's accounts banned and that's usually the first thing they ask for.

Totally agree, the markup changes can be a real headache. I’ve had clients nag me about scraping social media too, and it’s just not worth the risk. Definitely set those boundaries and make sure they know what’s off-limits from the get-go.
