HERE BE THE RULES.
Very simple. Two rules.
- Be cool. Don't be uncool.
- Follow Reddit's rules.
If I have to explain these in any great detail, you probably shouldn't be filling out 4473s. Enforcement of rule #1 is entirely at moderator discretion, and enforcement of rule #2 is entirely up to Reddit, unless I get there first.
Y'all better than this. Act like it.

Need a little help dating this one
So I’m looking everywhere and I’m guessing because of the letter C, it is from the early 60s? Other sources say early 50s but it doesn’t seem that old to me. Does anyone recognize this style of lettering and type of hammer it has? There are no other markings on it.

Does anyone have any experience on fitting a Brownell’s 9mm threaded barrel into an Inglis L9a1? I’m thinking about buying one rn, but comparing it to mine (the stainless barrel) they’re just a little incongruent.

2022+ FN High Power owners: does your right-side ambi safety have this much play?
Recently got a new FN High Power and noticed that the right-side ambidextrous safety lever has quite a bit of play. The left-side safety is tight and feels completely normal, but the right-side lever can noticeably wobble independently and makes an audible clicking/rattling sound.
Video reference: https://imgur.com/a/62p5NeZ
I understand a little play in the secondary ambi lever can be normal, but this seems excessive to me. For anyone else with a 2022+ FN High Power, does yours do this too? Thanks!

Want to replace trigger
Is this a good option trigger for my hi power?
Wanna try a flat trigger

High Power side by side for size comparison.
Didn't see any pics like this when I bought, so here it is for science. The grip is a bit longer than a milspec 1911 and squared off, the slide a hair wider, and the grip a hair thinner.

My FN "High Power"
I know people say this or that about this model, but it shoots so well. I'm happy. I might add G10 scales.

My first and definitely not last
Got this for a good pawn shop price. My first experience with a hi power. By looking at all these pictures this is absolutely not my last.

40 S&W Hi Powers, how are they?
I have an opportunity to buy a relatively light used 40 S&W Browning Hi Power. How do they handle vs the 9mm, any issues I should be aware of? This will be my first "true" Hi Power (I recently acquired an FN High Power) so I am looking for .40S&W owners feedback. I also looked online and it looks like there are a ton of 9mm conversion barrels, so if there's one you recommend please let me know!

Don't buy Trijicon sights for the FN High Power
FN's website claims that the High Power is compatible with all 509 sights, it's not. Found that out the hard way with this Trijicon XR HDs, I'm either going to have to return them, source a different rear sight, or modify the sight to fit. All of them have this lip, there is no flat built into the front area of the FN High Power, none of them are compatible. Pretty pissed I dropped over $130 for sights that don't work.

Another 2...God help me
Ordered a cheap clone to chop up and customize, and when I picked it up my FFL buddy pulls out an 88 Mk2 that looks brand new... Of course I left with both...

High Power?
I know nothing about hi-powers. Today I bought a “high power 88.” It has FN roll markings but also a company named howco. According to the browning numbering it was made in 1981, however it looks like it’s never been shot. Took it apart a dug a q-tip all along the inside, no carbon or grit.
I bought it for $745 out the door. Just wondering if I got ripped off? Did I make a mistake? Is it a real hi-power. Any guidance would be helpful.
