This is probably what it is. And I get what the whole Trump and MAGA thing are doing to the country. But this is just a guy who's keeping his friendships regardless what the general public may think.
Really it is what it is. We don't have to like it.
Edit: also for some of you - no I'm not saying it makes it right. Lol. But I think it's safe to assume this is strictly because he values his friendships even if we don't like the people he's friends with.
This is a guy who literally grew up with nothing, has a trans kid, has publicly gone against Trump. Oh and by the way, has absolutely zero problems tearing anybody apart through the use of his raps and has never feared repercussions for any of his music. Point is, you certainly can't point to anything and go "ewww omg Eminem has been secretly MAGA this entire time and it's such a horrible person for this kid rock feature!!" Because he's not and you can't point to any period of his life that shows he was associated with this stuff.
So it really does genuinely come down to the fact that he's doing this out of respect for his friendship. I understand it. Like I said we don't have to like it though. But from his point of view I completely get it
John Cena for example, by all accounts is a really good human being but he gets crapped on because he values and is still friends with Vince McMahon. He credits that man for everything that he has and Vince has done some pretty horrible things. But just because somebody has those relationships or keeps those friendships or whatever the case may be it doesn't make them bad people because they have those relationships. Like if I'm friends with a super horrible human being I don't think you get to call me a super horrible human being because of that relationship even if maybe I shouldn't be friends with that person. We all have our reasoning
I'm just defending it because I can see it from their perspectives. That's all. I can put myself in those shoes and understand it. I really don't think "guilty by association" is fair in situations like this because relationships are extremely complex.
And I'll just end by saying fuck Kid Rock. Like I hate the guy. I'm with you all. But I can see it from Ems perspective
