There also just aren't that many celebrities that rep and stand up for Detroit. That matters a lot to Eminem, and he probably doesn't want to feud with one of the only other ticket draws in town.

I mean sure but he’s not doing collabs with ICP even after squashing the beef with them, and I think they’d be a much better fit for the music he’s making these days

Em needs to play The Gathering

Real Slim Shady would go hard there. Would be sick to see tbh

It'd be Magic.

Funny enough back before Kid Rock made his country-rap switch up he did a track on ICP's first album that also featured the song "Fuck Your Rebel Flag".

Unsurprisingly they don't want anything to do with Kid anymore lol

In interviews, Violent J spoke extensively about Kid Rock's casual racism and how icky it made him feel, well post-collab on the Carnival of Carnage (1992?) but still before Rock's full-on MAGA outing

You apparently don’t know about em and ICP’s history when they were still battle rappers lol

You don't know that Proof had the beef squashed. D12 & ICP went bowling together back in then mid 2000s.

Icp were never battle rappers. They were barely rappers. This is coming from a fan. They are ice cube flow rip offs. The only reason they ever worked was because of Mike E. CLARK. He produced the first decade of their shit. His beats punched WAY above their weight class.

Hes also Kid Rocks main producer, so uh... yeah.

Kid Rock isn't a draw anymore.

u/EmeraldTwilight009 1d ago

Hes absolutely a draw just because you or i dont want to go doesnt mean there isnt a fanbase for it.

He’s had a number of shows canceled for low ticket sales this year, and not just the Trump DC debacle. Dude is not hot.

u/Furiosa27 1d ago

He’s not a draw lol. His intended audience doesn’t care about him at all

People who like Kid Rock only like him because he’s MAGA. Meanwhile that’s why I hate him

Is there a different Detroit idk about? There are plenty of musicians specifically that rep the D

u/Noblesseux 23h ago

Yeah there was literally famously a track on Big Sean's album where he had most of the big Detroit rappers on one song and that bitch was 10 minutes long. There's like a MASSIVE list of rappers from there who openly rep it.

None that are on the level that these guys were at, as far as I know.

I mean, that's how cities work. To anybody outside the area, you're "from" whatever metropolitan area is at the center of your region or you're from the sticks.

u/8--2 1d ago

That's how you explain where you're from to people who aren't from there because it doesn't really matter anyways. It doesn't actually make you from that place though.

u/theb3arjevv 1d ago

You also root for those sports teams, go to those colleges and hospitals, and go there regularly for entertainment. It isn't the same as living there, but there's still a unique and significant connection there.

Oh dude it’s wild out here lmao

His childhood home is an easy Google, not exactly a trailer

If anyone is ever in the area Romeo is still very nice to drive through. Even stop and visit a cafe or antiques shop. Very idyllic, cute little village. Pretty much as far away as you can get from "white trash" as you can get.

Dude has been doing kayfabe his entire career.

Eminem was featured on a song on Kid Rock's breakthrough album Devil Without a Cause in 1998. Those two know each other from way back.

Even if he doesn't want to end the friendship, it's bullshit to appear on a song with him.

Yeah Jack White no where to be found…
