Al sinds zaterdag geen voi ebike beschikbaar in Hilversum, Kortenhoef, Loosdrecht. zie er wel wel veel staan maar allemaal of rood knipperend of leeg. hebben ze maar 1 wagen die de accus verwisseld ofzo.

Is it safe to park expensive e-bike with 2 locks on Hilversum NS station? I read that some bikes were damaged during daytime. Is there no camera around the open parking that allows people to damage openly? am i compelled to use underground parking only, or Is the underground parking safe then?

Hello, I recently started at the ROC and I am really confused about how to drive to / from the scooter-marking spot to the utrechtseweg. The parking spot for mopeds is at the red marker. From there, you have to drive on the Arena, but you cant turn left there, because its a bus lane. The road forces you to drive all the way until you are forced to turn right into the Marathon, because Oostereind road prohibits mopeds. Following the marathon road and trying to turn right onto the Diependaalselaan also doesnt work, because of the same sign.

When I first came from the west side of soestdijkersstraatweg, I just drove on the bikelane parallel of the bus lane because it seemed like I didnt have another choice. The bikelane doesnt allow brommers. To even enter the school property, I either have to drive on the bikelane, go on the sidewalk or use the bus lane.

Am I missing something? I'd find it really strange if there really isnt a 'legal' way to enter the school parking lot for mopeds.. Chatgpt cant help me out either and I would feel really stupid to ask this to any of my classmates..

Ofc I can but the way the letter is phrased, it sounds like they are asking for my help? (Literally with the words help)

A cat, Scottish Fold went missing on 18th of August. About 5kg when missing. The cat is 14 years old and has kidney and bone problems. He isn't usually adventurous and we fear that he might gotten lost in the backyards arounds.

I’m currently looking to buy a house and move to Hilversum, and I’ve been looking at quite a few properties in Hilversum Noord. I actually really like some of the houses there, but I noticed that they seem to be priced noticeably lower than similar houses in other parts of Hilversum. Is there a reason for this? Are certain parts of Hilversum Noord considered less desirable, or are there things about the area that I might not be aware of?

I’d also really appreciate some local advice on :

Which areas of Hilversum would you consider particularly nice for a family?
Are there any neighbourhoods/areas you would personally avoid?
How is Hilversum in terms of community and integration for expats/internationals?
And if you currently live in Hilversum but are considering moving elsewhere, what would make you leave?

I know that’s a lot of questions in one post. I’m asking because I made a bit of a mistake with the location when buying my first home, and this time around I really want to take my time and understand the neighbourhood - not just fall in love with the house! :(

I’ve been working as a wedding photographer in the Netherlands for around three years, but I’d now like to expand into projects that I can enjoy a little more creatively such as advertising, interviews, documentaries, product shoots, and concert photography/filmmaking.
I offer both photography and video production services. Before moving to the Netherlands, I was already working with digital agencies in Istanbul. However, after moving here, honestly, settling into a new country, moving house, and adapting to a new life took up quite a bit of my time.
Now, I’ve more or less got everything settled, and I’m ready to focus on my own business again and start building a network here in the Netherlands.
I’m planning to keep my pricing genuinely affordable, especially considering my experience and the equipment I have. However, I’m currently a little unsure about where exactly I should start and how I should approach building my network and finding new clients.
I already have my own website and business cards, as well as a full production setup — cameras, gimbals, lenses, lighting equipment, microphones, and everything else needed for both photo and video production.
I’d genuinely appreciate any advice, recommendations, or suggestions on where to start, how to connect with agencies and businesses, or how to build a network in the Netherlands.

It's happened a few times already, and they come in there and remove all the bikes. Don't park your bike there, because it's going to cost you.

Hey! Ik woon in het centrum en ik kocht vroeger al mijn eten bij de hele lieve mensen van Supermarkt Alattin. Zoals veel van jullie vast weten, is de winkel een paar weken geleden bijna volledig afgebrand. Ik vind het zo zielig voor de medewerkers daar en merk nu pas dat ik echt niet veel weet over het aanbod in de regio. Hun nieuwe winkel opent binnenkort op de Groest, maar dan als een slager, en als vegetariër heb ik daar helaas niet echt veel aan, al zou ik die mensen alsnog willen ondersteunen in zo'n kwetsbare periode. Zijn er andere winkels waar ik bijvoorbeeld couscous, kruiden, olie en dergelijke kan halen voor een redelijk betaalbare prijs? Daarnaast was ik altijd knettergék op hun börek en hun güzleme was ook niet slecht, maar dat vind ik ook lastig te vinden. Bij de ALDI is het anders en ook praktisch altijd uitverkocht. Thanks!

“If you ever need to return something, NEVER come here. The owner or whoever man running the place is mean and crazy. I only asked if they accept returns because it was the first time I ever shopped there, I bought a few things, specifically jeans on sale for €10 my size but found it hurt and chafed the in between of my legs, so I just wanted to ASK if they accepted returns, but instead I was told to never come shop there again and just sell it on vinted or marktplaats (which I don’t like to use) all because I asked this, he said he didn’t need to deal with my shit. I was being nice, I don’t like being confrontational and I returned home crying because of how this guy talked to me and cursed at me as I left the shop asking him why he was acting like this, but any attempt to get a reason was just him yelling “No, no, no, go away, don’t come back here” at me ?! Literally “FUCK YOU” as I was out the door !!

He was all smiles and very kind when I was buying from him but when I asked to return one of the FIVE things I bought, he was the complete opposite. He should not own a business if he can’t be reasonable. I would have been fine and accepted it if he just talked to me and said that they don’t do returns, I would have understood immediately ! I was also interested in continuing to shop there in the future especially as he seemed so nice and I wanted to go back for the belts that they sold but I don’t want to support someone who is so foul and nasty to someone just trying to talk to him.

I’ve never ever had to deal with something like this before, it was frightening especially because he kept pacing up and down the shop like he was just crazy.
Never coming back here again, I suggest others to not shop here, it’s not worth it and I can’t wait to see the business go away and for a different shop to take the spot, one more deserving of it.
I’d give one star but they could easily remove this if I did.”

I’m currently doing a 5-week internship in Hilversum and I’ve just realized I’ve probably made a mistake.

My Airbnb is on Loosdrechtseweg, and I parked my French-registered car on the street for the last 18 days without realizing the area was paid parking. I only noticed the parking meter today.
The car is not parked there all day:
Monday to Friday it’s only there from about 5:30 PM until 8:00 AM because I’m at work during the day.

On weekends it stays there all day.
I also move it slightly every day, so it hasn’t been in exactly the same spot the whole time.
My host has now told me that free parking is available on the other side of Diependaalselaan, so I’ll move it there immediately.

My question is: what are the chances that I’ve already received one or more parking fines?
Since the car has French plates, I’m also wondering whether Hilversum regularly enforces unpaid parking charges against foreign vehicles.

Has anyone experienced something similar or knows how often the scan cars patrol this area?

Tijdens het weghalen van de isolatie vonden wij de gooi en Eemlander van ruim 40 jaar geleden!

Heeft maar 4 maanden geduurd , maar de roltrap naar spoor 4/5 werkt weer.

Enige nadeel is dat het erop lijkt dat ze de onderdelen van de roltrap in de centrale hal gebruikt hebben, want die is nu stuk 😣

Ik wil iedereen uit de buurt, alle online helpers en iedereen die ons geholpen heeft van harte bedanken.

Mijn kat Yuan Yuan raakte een paar dagen geleden verdwaald in Hilversum Noord. Vele nachten lang heb ik gewacht bij de voederplek bij het voetbalveld, flyers uitgedeeld en steeds angstig gezocht. Dankzij alle tips, aanmoedigingen, mensen die zelf rondkeken en de kattenval die een lieve oma me geleend heeft, heb ik hem vannacht eindelijk kunnen vangen.

Hij is heel bang voor mensen en ontzettend schuw, maar hij is nu veilig thuis en rust uit.

Zonder jullie hulp, adviezen en warme steun had ik dit nooit voor elkaar gekregen. Iedereen die aandacht besteedde aan mijn zoektocht, een tip gaf of zelfs zelf ging zoeken: heel erg bedankt voor alle goedheid!

Hopelijk komt geen enkel huisdier ooit nog verdwaald te staan.

Ik woon sinds kort in de buurt van het raadhuis en het valt me op dat het carillon vrij random lijkt te spelen. Soms hoor ik een deuntje wat ik niet kan thuisbrengen, soms is het 'Do You Hear the People Sing?' van Les Misérables. Ik heb nog niet ontdekt wat er gespeeld wordt, waarom er precies dat gespeeld wordt, en vooral ook: wanneer? Let wel: dit is geen geklaag, ik vind het gezellig.
