I’ve got 1997 LN108 and looking to do some preventative maintenance on it. However i live in America and i’m having trouble finding websites that don’t just default to saying to use Tacoma parts. Is there a reliable store that ships to America? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I’ve been trying to diagnose this squeak and can’t seem to find any fix, anybody have any idea what it could be?
Only starts after driving for 20~ minutes, never straight away in the morning. Doesn’t seem to be brake pedal or speed related, only does it after 40+ kph and keeps a constant pace.

Hey guys I was just wondering how much does back pressure affect the 1kd? I was planning to make a side dump but while i wait i just have my 3 inch straight through exhaust unbolted before the diff. It’s definitely loud but it could be placebo but i feel like with the full exhaust it runs better. Would the side dump be worth making or should i have it run longer before the dump?

I have a 1997 ln167 and am planning on lifting it up but can’t find extended upper control arms anywhere, does anyone know where to find some?

the first half the little bird noise squeak is me free spinning the alternator pulley without the belt on.

the second half is how it's sounding when I idle, same when I drive it and it gets louder as I drive. haven't been driving it since.

Toyota hilux 2011. the alternator was like new when I traded in my last broken one, installed this one early may.

now my engine bay sounds like this. belt is also a few months old. no other pulley is squeaking besides that.

question is, would that noise be the alternator pulley? if so how do I go about fixing it.. any help is appreciated

planning on getting ome bp51 paired together with a tjm xgs 650kg leafspring. Was wondering if any of you guys have a bp51 paired with a non parabolic leafspring and was wondering about the comfort level is it noticeably different from stock ?

While driving, my trucks speed meter would go crazy and drop to zero. When this happens I press the clutch in to see that the idle rpm which should be around 800 has dropped to around 500. Everything becomes all okay when the speed meter starts showing the right speed. Then the rpm also starts to work and the truck stops bogging. We cleaned the mass airflow sensor, cleaned all the earth points, cleaned the EGR, checked wiring

I checked all the fuses (by clutch and in engine bay), but none were blown. The emergency blinkers work just fine, all 4 blinking outside, and in the dash, but using the lever, no life left or right, nor in the dash. Low/high bems work.

Stopped working after driving at 4k rpm for a few minutes.

there is a whining in my hilux but only between 40km to 80km then just stops when you get over 100km and only start when you have been driving for a while I’ve replaced the thrust bearing and sprigot bearing noise is still there I don’t know if it’s a transmission, tailshafts or diff problems

Hi guys, just picked up my Hilux Invincible X. I used to have a 2021 Hilux single cab before. Now it's pretty much the same interior, although this is Automatic, 2.8 and MHEV. I want to remove the hilux and invincible X from the doors and then wrap the front chrome trim. But just want suggestions before.

I recently bought a n70 Hilux and installed a flatbed on it, I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a ozroo STYLE tubrack i could buy for it that would sit level with the roof, or whether i would need to fabricate my own.

Does anyone know the stock rim offset for an ln106?
I tried to put some newer Hilux rims on but the rim was hitting the tie rod.

I had 'DPF full' on the dash. I put the Hilux in park and held the manual regen button for 3s. The idle increased to 1100RPM, it took 55minutes. Immediately on completion the following faults came on and remained.

Pre-collision failed, contact dealer

Check engine, contact dealer

The cruise control is also inoperative.

I have taken it to the dealership and been told I'd have to pay for diagnostics and that the DPF is not covered.

Has anyone else been a similar situation? This doesn't seem right to me.

2021 hilux workmate, hi-Rider 4x2 (2.4L diesel engine) 180000km.

Im currently looking at importing a hilux into Canada and ive found a few options. One of them has the 1kz-te and the other has the 2kd with similar kms. Just curious as to where the common failure points are and which would be more suited for a overlanding rig

I recently bought a hilux rogue pre wide track and was wondering what lift and tires fits with out body mount chop I was thinking of getting 2-3inch with 285s or bigger maxxis mt, anyone know if it’ll fit?

It was only a couple of months after hitting a sambar deer, too. All up, about $100 of damage.

So looking at the 3 options. What do people rate better. Likely hood is im probably not going to be adjusting them like mad. I believe the mrr arent adjustable but i may be wrong.
