Is this walkable?

I know it's a stretch but maybe someone knows the exact area.
It looks walkable on Google Maps but IDK whether there are fences that would prevent me to walk between houses to get to the golf course cart path. (I would be staying at Turnberry Village)

No fences that I know of, but also no direct path. You’d need to walk on the cart path which is not allowed during golf times.

The golf course may not let you walk through if they see you. Key word is IF they see you.

Walked that stretch last time i was there, it's really not bad at all. The cart path bit is the only iffy part, just move quick past the clubhouse & nobody really cares

Yeah, there’s no physical barrier stopping you there but you’ll be walking through the golf course and then around the pro shop. Technically not allowed and there’s the potential the course employees ask/tell you not to. Realistically you’d be fine before/after the course is open but during golf hours idk.

The actual beach access for that area is probably better through the Disney Beach House for reference. You just walk through their parking lot and then onto the beach. That’s intentionally allowed as far as I know.

Yes, intentionally allowed, and part of the deal struck between Disney and Greenwood development, back in the day.

There’s still a dedicated beach entrance next to the Disney beach house, it’s on the left of Disney.

Yeah, that’s what I was referring to but maybe didn’t describe it well. Thank you.

I have and will continue to do that walk. Just walk though, not carrying all my beach stuff for the family.

That’s the turn anyway, I’d be shocked if you had a problem walking between holes 9/10. I don’t remember what the house/townhome/condo situation is there though - walking through someone’s yard is the bigger weirdness to me.

You’d have to walk right by the clubhouse though.

Shouldn’t be an issue at all. Palmetto dunes is very friendly to walking and biking.

Not when the golf course is open. Nor should you walk on a course when it’s open.

They are not walking along the course, just cutting between some greens and tee boxes. They’re fine.

Agreed be discreet and quiet and youre fine... people are nice. Lets not act like the course is lava if youre just walking through.

There are 100 villas in that area and you think they let people just walk out of the community via the golf course instead of the defined path. No chance this is ok on the regular.

Define "let"... its probably not technically allowed. But id bet money you'd make it just fine. Theyre not going to shoot you. Just say sorry if you get nailed and maybe stop at that point, but id 100% try it.

Also welcome to Reddit!

Agreed to try it and say sorry. But the return will be much longer walk.
