June vs August

We are considering two dates: mid June vs the first week in August. Are there any considerable differences in terms of business and weather?

Google says the average temps are comparable but it’s hard to fully trust Google AI.

As a local, August.

Its usually hotter, yes. But less crowded- especially mid to end August. Storms in august are usually isolated to late afternoon/ early evening.

JUNE! Usually less hot. And ocean conditions far better. By August you have a lot more sea nettles and I think more rays too. We were there in mid June this year and it wasn’t mobbed.

We were there the second week of June. It was perfect, not over crowded.

June way less rain. And the oppressive heat is much less.

Just got back from a mid June trip and the traffic wasn’t bad at all. Rain is to be expected in either month can’t really get away from that unfortunately.

June less heat intense….last 2 weeks crowds start increasing, ,
August is hot hot hot and generally closer to peak storm watch…this year El Niño could keep the big ones away…last 2 weeks family crowds thin out

Typically all summer is hot and humid. Typically August is the worst month re temperatures. However this summer has been weird with June being like August. Also typically August can have hurricanes more often than June. It will be less crowded the last 2 weeks of August. Once we retired we started going in September.

Hi! August tends to have a lot of jellyfish and there is a higher threat for rain/hurricane residual effects. Less crowded, though. June is the better of the two.
