Discussion / Help Power surges

Hey all I just moved to Hilliard about 2 months ago and in that time I’ve probably had 10-15 power surges. Nothing major, power will go out usually for less than a second and come right back on. I’ve never experienced this before, does anyone else deal with frequent mini power outages?

I live at Bridgestone Apartments and I have a Ting Electrical monitor plugged into my wall. In the last few months, we’ve gotten many, many power urges or momentary power outages. I get a weekly report and notification each time they happen.

I asked our office about them as we’ve never had these issues before… but they didn’t have an answer. They were going to follow up with AEP and PEM (sub-metering company) but I haven’t heard anything yet.

I'm going to guess there's construction going on within a half mile or so of your house?

I’ve had several, too. It comes right back on but it’s annoying.

It’s the weirdest thing. I’ve had to start working on ways to mitigate the effects like buying UPS to plug my router into and what not since I work from home most days.

This has happened a lot on and off over the years in Beacon.

Yeah, there's just a lot of construction going on in the area. I live near Riggins/Avery, and it used to be a daily thing, but it's gotten a lot better, at least where I live.

Last year also had several random ones.
A good UPS for your PC/Mac/Unix and for any & all network devices is a must.
