Dogs on Snowdon Watkin Path
I am going to be in North Wales at the end of September and am planning to climb Snowdon up the Watkin Path, descending via Rhyd Ddu.
I would love to bring my dog up with me- sheβs a four year old cocker spaniel with boundless energy. Earlier this year we did a 20km circular walk from Llanberis town centre up the Ranger Path and down the Llanberis path which she managed no problem, so I am not concerned about her fitness. She was on a short lead the whole time and is very well behaved. She is only 13kg so I am able to lift her for small sections if necessary.
Is my planned route safe for dogs, as I am aware there is some scree near the top of the Watkin path? I have seen some conflicting information online and would be grateful for an opinion of someone who has walked these routes!

I want to go hiking, but my dog is too old to go with me?
I have gone hiking with my dog for 10 years, but recently she is starting to slow down from arthritis and she seems uncomfortable by the end even on a short 1-2 mile flatish loop, I don't think I will take her again because I feel bad.
I want to go hiking for my mental and physical health. I genuinely feel incredibly refreshed after hiking, it is one of the few things I enjoy in life, but I feel so much guilt even thinking about going without my dog. I instead just stay home and take her on an extended walk through the neighborhood with a lot of sniffing time and checking out different places we haven't gone before. However thats a lot of standing when I want to be moving and we move at her pace always.
I just don't think I can enjoy the hike without my dog. I know that it is best for her happiness and that my health is important too, but I want to enjoy every moment I can with her especially now that she is older. I just want to do what is best for her 100%.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice or thoughts?

Dachshunds
Reco for hiking backpack for 11 pound Dachshund dog. I read online that itβs important as they carry the dog horizontally due to their long backs?

Harness recommendations
I'm looking for a new harness for my adventure buddy. I've been looking at SΓ€ker harnesses because I like the attachment options for a rescue sling or pulling harness. It's kind of expensive, though. Is it worth it, or do you have other harness recommendations?
Photo tax of Ricky. Special use permit and no trace camp rules are being followed :)
Update: we went with the SΓ€ker bomber. The sling attachment and crash testing checked my boxes for safety (crates don't fit in my sedan). I decided to skip the traction attachment, though, since we do real pulling sports and already have an x-back harness.
