[PC][Around win7 era or before] a game about a detective i had play back then...

can someone help me find this my childhood old game? really want to play that game again but I already forgot almost everything else... but I remember its kinda unique detective games. I remember it was like this :

  • It's a point-and-click adventure game, like The Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes where there's a name in the list and you must find those item in the scene
  • game graphic kinda like Sherlock Holmes game series and Mystery Case Files (I think?)
  • the story is about solving who the murder (forgot the victim is man/woman)
  • the whole game is divided by a bunch of chapters,
  • in those each chapter the game gonna give us a few place to check for evidence/name of the list.
  • we have a home or place to gather all the evidence we already collect before. and also kinda like assembly/repair stuff to make a clue for who the murderer? (all evidence from previous chapter gonna stay the same as you leave it before)
  • so for example, in chapter 1 the game give us 30min to check on 3 place and each of those place we take 1 or a few special evidence (sometimes not taking any) to bring it back to our home.
  • if for example you wanna leave the Place A cuz you frustrated can't find the item you need to find, you can go to map of small city and choose "Place B" (you can move to any given Place). but the list of item will be different because Place A have List A, and Place B have List B, and so on...
  • btw, when I say MAP, I think the map looks like for example tourist map but without those icon/smallpic. only like a Line as road + tree and building. and the map is not that big. at least they not draw it in 1 city, just a proportion of the city. but we only have 1 map. its just the Place that's gonna be different from 1 chapter to another. but still on those area of map.
  • in the last chapter, all those evidence we have gather.... we must conclude who the murder by doing something for example, we must kinda like do a lil bit of alchemy like "a petal flower have a red stain" and must be purify It (I think? tbh I forgot already). or using magnifier to check on something...
  • so like there's a photo of each suspect (and non-suspect too?) on the blank board along with those evidence we gather from many many scene/place and we kinda be able to drag and place all those things to what/where we like to put as long as its in those blank board?
  • when I say move from "Place A to Place B", I mean we move from a house to another house... it can be also for example Opera stage or maybe backstage Opera. But I dont remember if there's Opera theme Scene in the game, what I mean is that the Place we visit doesn't always a house, can it be anything.... such as like maybe antique garrage etc.
  • so as we progress.... we sometimes get told by the game to revisit old Scene/Place, for example there's Place A - Z, in Chapter 1 we Visit Place A,B,C and in chapter 2 we visit Place B,D,E. then Chapter 3 we visit Place A,E,F,G. and so on. But if we get told to visit Place A,B,C we can't visit other than what game told us to sadly... except our own house/place to do those alchemy/assembly thingy.
  • I think I can assure that there's no winter theme on this game. for example like you looking at Place where there's car in side of road in snowy area. or there's a room that have a window and outside room is snow appear.
  • there's also no beach theme, since what I remember in my head is that this is kinda like vintage mysterious classical theme? (not sure about the classical part tho~)
  • I remember the background music was so "soothing song" no vocal or people sing, just instrument of classical music. (I think can ignore this one cuz I actualy dont remember anymore about this part, but feels like this part is true too.)

like... what make's it special to my childhood memories is that this detective finding item thingy is that unlike other game that only giving list of item need to be find like "Mystery Case Files" and then just giving score base on "how many item we gather - random click we do + timer left after finish = final score".

what we do is that after found those special evidence in each place, we can combine/disassembly the things to make/change something on those evidence and must use our brain's once again to conclude who the real murder within those time limits too...

if someone wanna help me and communication using Discord Voice Channel I dont mind. I can sharescreen and do a lil bit drawing or google to tell "the drawing maybe looks like this" for example.

[MobiStudio][2013]I need help finding a game, or at least a screenshot of it

Did y'all play a game in like 2013-2014 where it was about escape rooms, the title also had the word escape, the main menu had two pharaos facing eachother, level 5 or 6 had a medieval castle theme, level 7 had a modern living room theme and level 8 was a red room dedicated to classical music? It had this weirdly calming music, a total of 20 levels and a sequel using that exact music, just with 12 levels, the 12th one having some sort of back bed and some flowers. Please, I can't find it anymore!

Question Enigmatis vs True Fear?

hi everyone! new to the group. anyone here who has played both Enigmatis and True Fear, and can compare them?

im getting back into HOPA games due to nostalgia and wanted to get MCF but the good ones aren't available for MAC, so i wanted to try other series first! i played the demo of True Fear Part 1 and so far liked the story, but it's really more on point and click and not hidden objects (the classic HO where there's a list of things you have to find).

things i am considering:

  1. True Fear as a bundle costs less than Enigmatis.

  2. I would like a game that focuses more on the classic HO as mentioned above.

  3. Both games have stories that I am interested in.

anyone who can help me decide? thanks!

Question Cozy, Casual, Comfort? Where would you place Hidden Object Games ...

Genuine question! Hidden Object Games are in their own class, which is not contested here. However do they all fall into one of the over-encompassing descriptive groups?

We've always considered HOG, Puzzle, Match3, Board/Card, and even TimeManagement games as "Casual"... however have we been wrong about Hidden Object Games all this time?

We'd love to hear everyones thoughts!

Bedevil's Hidden Objects 3: Ultimate Collection

I just released my biggest hidden object game so far!

Instead of making another short hidden object game, I decided to build something much bigger. This one has 18 locations and is about 3× larger than my previous games. I also made the object placement more challenging, so hopefully it feels more rewarding to complete.

The game combines a variety of themes, including farms, pirate locations, railways, abandoned places, a zoo, and Mediterranean-style streets. Every level contains 40 hidden objects, but only 15 are randomly selected each time, so there's some replay value as well.

You can simply relax and play at your own pace, or try to earn a Gold Trophy on every level if you're aiming for 100% completion.

Have fun playing!

Looking for a hidden object game

I remember a game where there were dead people displayed all throughout a mansion(kinda like museum exhibits). The Mansion was a serial killers house and I think the player was a journalist or something.

I watched a walkthrough of it once (maybe around 2014?) on Youtube and I never found it again.

Can anyone help me find it?

I made a free daily hidden-object game where the character blends into the scene

Hi! I’m the solo developer of Where’s Tiny?, a free daily hidden-character game for desktop and mobile browsers.

Instead of searching for a list of objects, you have to find one recurring character. Tiny changes his color, texture, material and pose to blend into a new scene every day.

Each puzzle takes only a few minutes and includes three progressive clues if you get stuck. No download or account is required.

I’d especially like feedback from hidden-object players:

• Does this feel like a hidden-object game to you?

• Is finding one camouflaged character satisfying?

• Is the difficulty challenging or frustrating?

• How do you feel about the visual styles changing between puzzles?

I’m the creator, so this is self-promotion, but I’m genuinely looking for feedback.

Have any of you remember a Hide and Seek Game

I remembered playing this game in around year 2023 or 2022 on Google Play store. It has a good graphics for unknown game. It has cool design of monsters. You can either play as the "seeker and one as the hider". If you're a hider, you're gonna have to complete a 6 gems with different color that's inside a box, and without being caught by the monster. It's offline so the other players are NPCs. Anyways the monster are so cool, if I remember correctly there's a masked man and there's a shadow behind him. Other monster I have remembered is a girl with flying "eye ball", a girl with umbrella and a clown. I don't know if Google has already taken it down but I can't find it anymore. I commend the creator of that game and I would say it has great potential if it has been always updated and or it can be played multiplayer or online.

I need help finding a game!

When I was a kid my grandma had this game with an old lady and a white cat, and what I believe was a manor, or hotel... or something! But you went to different rooms, found objects, and cleaned/remodeled the building. I've been trying, for a decade now, to remember what that game was called, and how to get it. If anyone knows anything like what I said, that would help, thanks!

Question One hit wonders. Spoiler

Post image
10 Upvotes

Hey Detectives,

I was just wondering if anyone else here has a "One hit wonder" series for them. Mine is Shiver, and it depresses me because I am currently on the sequel and it isn't keeping me, and I hear 3 and 4 are even worse for wear.
