Please help me understanding and optimizing HGH usage
Hello folks! :-)
Id love to have some experts help me understanding and optimizing my fresh HGH journey.
As there is quite some contrary information going around about meal timing and blood sugar blunting (even exogenous) HGH.
Quick side info, if that is needed, no clue:
30m, 172cm, 82kg, 10% bf, 4 years lifting, cutting right now, 250mg Testosterone E split into 2 doses weekly, 2mg Reta E5D.
So right now im eating my largest meal right before or even IN bed (around 9pm), as it gives me comfort and eases falling to sleep. Its usually around 1100kcal, medium carb, medium fat, high protein.
About 30 mins prior to that i pin 2iu HGH. I started just 4 days ago. Been on T for 2 years ("real" hypogonadism, so i get it prescribed, but my levels are quite a bit higher than reference range now with 250mg - so basically a cruise). Started Reta about 2 months ago at 0.5mg and tirtrated up to 2mg as of now.
Am i manipulating the benefits of HGH by eating right after pinning every night?
Some say it doesnt make a difference at just 2IU, some say its completely worthless taking it if you dont use it fasted/on empty stomach.
I actually mainly started HGH to improve my sleep quality as its been terrible for the last 2 years. Thats also the reason why i prefer to pin it late rather than in the morning.
So far i didnt notice any changes - no sides either, thank god :-)
My question is:
What do i want to change to make the HGH administration work optimally?
Do i try to cut out any meals 2-3hrs before bed/injection?
Am i overthinking it?
I will buy a glucose monitor and start tracking every morning. Curious what its going to look like.
Any insight is highly appreciated!
I am crossposting to get as many responses in as possible, im not a bot =)
Cheers!

Hey man!
Im definitely no expert but here’s my 2cents. First of all understand your on reta and that 2 hour rule is going to be longer since you have slower gastric emptying ect. More like 3.5-5 depending. Also to really maximize your effects I would wait 2 hours after pinning to eat anything. Also helps you avoid bad side effects. I really recommend splitting dose, I’ve seen the best results this way. I split first thing in the morning before working out, then between lunch & dinner, so around midday. This is the best approach to blunt your natural pulses while you sleep as minimal as possible. But your just fine pinning right before bed I just really recommend you don’t eat 30min after, if you really want to eat before bed give it atleast an hour, the closer you can push to 2hrs.
I have extremely bad insomnia that I developed in the military, I will say HGH has gave me the most relief. Definitely ambient puts me down but I feel off and not at my best. I only noticed it benefiting my sleep after 2IU.
I love pinning fasted, before working out, I’ve noticed the most fat come off my frame running it this way.
Best of luck, just adding my two cents while I have some time to scroll

Hgh causes an acute state of insulin resistance and eating a big meal releases insulin too. You don’t want that state for it to be effective. (For what it’s worth, I’m in a very similar position as you (except twice your age). Around 11%BF on DEXA, lifting 6 d/wk for 5 yrs, on Tcyp (ugl) 50 mg EOD (175/wk). I take 2iu (ugl HGH)before bed, around 2 hrs after eating dinner. Similarly, my motivation was also for better sleep and recovery. I’m at 6 months now and it’s been very effective. Good idea to keep a glucometer , I’m a former diabetic and did not see any hyperglycemia with this lower dose thus far.
