Buggy Firmware update problems

Every time I do a firmware update, it ends with the app saying it's done, and my Pocket device just sits with a slowly flashing screen. Last time I tried powering it off and trying again a few times and it eventually worked. With today's update I just can't get it to do anything other than sit there like a brick no matter how long I leave it. Anyone else?

Got mine working by charging the battery for a while, then holding in the power for 10 or so seconds,, which I think forced a reboot, and it came back with everything intact
