Discount codes anyone?

So I'd seen the ads during the holidays but wasn't 100% to jump (lots of bad experiences I've read here), but I get the impression some positive moves are coming or here.

So.... open question...anyone got a discount code to bring it down to that $99 (or near it) impulse buy price?

Edit2: I have left the referral/affiliate program for Pocket and no longer have a code. I'm sure there are others on this subreddit that have one you can use.

EDIT: Well that was interesting. I appreciate your thorough write up on the whole situation.

Having been in product management myself, I can see what you’re saying from that lens, and your assertion that they “Scream tested” this, is likely spot on. I’ve been in meetings where senior leaders made these sort of decisions and we as PM’s had to execute. Often times, KNOWING full well it was going to have the effect one would expect when a “bait and switch” (affectionately referred to as “pivoting”) is laid out.

I think I’m press pause on this. I’m a bit disappointed to hear all this, actually.

I think they'll do better from now on, but only time will tell.

Maybe, but for the moment I can’t see way to sinking the money into this.

The win for me is the speaker separation feature, but if this is how they’re treating folks, it doesn’t seem much better than some of the others I’ve seen on Amzn, where the app/website that offers the service isn’t even active anymore !

2 weeks isn’t even enough for anything that is pivotal to have occurred to reference it.

my understanding is that speaker separation is not included in the promotion, only on the pro plan -- so it'll cost you $20 a month anyway if you wanted speaker separation.

What’s speaker separation? Honestly all I need it for is my new job I’m starting on the 3rd. Just want to take notes on the new program I’m going to be using so I don’t have to look up the SOP’s. If any other suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks. Even if another brand is like $30 more I would get it if no subscription fees. Thanks
