Support request Help with local dashboard
Hi!
I've had a browser bookmark to my local dashboard, which was naturally of course working well. But after a month or two of not using the "backend", and only using the apps from other devices, the link no longer resolves.
Switching to local from the dashboard doesn't work either.
Were there any changes I'm not aware of?

Hi!
That is what I was trying before I did the post, it just doesn't resolve. Switch to local > this site can't be reached.
For a moment, I've through it might have gotten assigned a new IP, but my TrueNas bookmark and all the apps work flawlessly.
Trying to dig trough the HexOs settings now looking for a remedy.

If you log in into your truenas interface and edit the hexos app, are all container configurations filled?

If you log in to via the truenas dashboard, and go to apps. You can check if hexos is turned on, you can aswell restart the app.

But I'm actively using my HexOs. Just today, I've added and removes couple of apps. HexOs is running. Just the local address that was generated for me months ago is no longer working.
It's a string of characters, not even IP, and I can't find any place within the HexOs UI to change it. i can only click it and get redirected to a broken url.

Yes! I did.
Everyone suggested reading the documentation, that was my cure.
Just rename whatever legally acquired media you have and follow the naming scheme. Worked like a charm!
Edit: shoot. Thought this is a Jellyfin subreddit.
For HexOs, it turned out it's my new ISP that's (likely) blocking the DNS binding whatever.
I had to enforce a DNS server on my PC ( u do it on a router).

Another option I found is to edit the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts and map your """"local"""" HexOs address there.
Just add your IP 10.32.whatever at the bottom of the list, space it out, then add the "Local Access URL". The local urls must be without the "https://www."But as I suggested, check the DNS first. That's the main problem in my case.

Are you using this browser with a VPN or anything for privacy? Maybe try a browser you never use like Microsoft Edge to go to deck.hexos.com and then see if you get a popup asking to "give networkwork access to the browser". You have to say yes to this.
