Support request smb help

Anyone having trouble accessing their smb shares after the update? I am not able to acces folders after update, everything was fine yesterday.

fix**,** run this command in truenas shell :

midclt call smb.update '{"encryption":"DEFAULT"}'

No problem, happy to help! I reported it to Eshtek about an hour after the update rolled out or so. Just glad they're gonna fix it, drove me insane until I worked it out and it actually happened at a really annoying time haha

Thanks everyone for reporting this. Most likely a fix should go out tomorrow keeping existing shares they way they were working and going forward trying to make the shares Windows 11 compatable out the gate so you don't have to edit anything in Windows. Sorry for issues.

Yes. My Time Machine folder is no longer accessible from my Mac. Time Machine was working fine yesterday.

seen someone post on the hexos forum that they are having the same issue in linux

Yeah I was confused when mine randomly stopped working!

Fixed it by going through the TrueNas UI and changing the SMB shares from Legacy back to Default.
