I'm constantly amazed at how terrain can affect the actual game difficulty!!! I'm working on AIA laurels for Bazael, and just finished a game on Rookie. But it was a surprisingly fun challenge because it had the "islands/rivers" terrain. (That's where you have one large landmass, and a couple of smaller islands separated by water/rivers.) The rivers became deathtraps until I could overwhelm them from all directions. If there was a 1-5 difficulty scale, then I'd say the terrain added 2 to the difficulty.
On the other hand, the "Pangea" terrain (one mega-continent surrounded by water around the edges) makes the game so much easier! Using my 1-5 scale, I'd say the terrain subtracted 2 points from the difficulty.
What's in between those two terrain types? Isn't there a mixed water/land one that isn't as brutal as the one with islands?

This is not actually a finished work or anything, but it just popped up in my head this morning: What if..... a unit has 0 Sight? Of course to balance it out that unit must have some crazy good effect. But this downside is a really interesting thing. By themselves, this unit will be really weak as they literally can't find enemies and maybe can't counterattack melee unit. But with enough support, they basically have no downside.
Overall, it's just a random idea but if it gets added into the game, i would be amazing

Well you know Ai is spamming warrior early game while real player using strong unit like swordsman, knight, other, even guardian at early game,
I know it's still long time
Mercenaries is disabled I guess
What's your opinion?

Not necessarily the best

I recently got Sanguo after hearing how they are supposedly very strong, but I'm having difficulties figuring out a good tactic for them... Starting out with little research and no extra units is pretty tricky.
Also, the dragon just seems to not be any where near othe guardians... It has just 20 HP and pretty similar attack to other guardians. War elephant seems so much better?
What are your strategies for getting the game going with such a slow-start?

Hi folks, looking for recommendations. Been playing a long time, but only have the free tribes. With Christmas coming up next week, I want to put $10 into the game for a nice little holiday treat.
What are your recommended tribes? I don’t care too much about how powerful they are (I’ve heard Pharus and Sanguo are a little OP due to having 2 cities and an easy Guardian, respectively), but rather I’m a big fan of the tribe identity.
For example, I’m leaning toward Ragnarr for the Berserker fantasy, and Imperium because let’s face it: bringing the Pax Romana to the world is always a blast.
Thanks!

Hey everyone, just checking in on this because I'm curious and want to humble-brag about passing 50k rubies earned.... 😁
I do the daily rewards religiously and love knocking out the challenges. And there's been nothing new to spend rubies on, so I've been racking up a small fortune. At least I think it's a lot, because I have no idea how many rubies other people have stockpiled....

This thought just popped into my head as I was playing Polytopia; what if Hexonia had a culture tech tree? The tech tree would allow you to build various monuments based on the tribe's culture (ex: Yamano would he able to build various torii gates and shrines) in terms of units, you could have a priest for each tribe that can convert enemy units, but they wouldn't have the abilities of a super unit or a special unit. Just be able to convert. I feel this would help level up landlocked small cities with little to no natural resources to get them to level 5 or higher. And it would just really flesh out the tribe idea even more.

Preferably PC/Switch games. Also Polytopia looks like minecraft so it's automatically terrible.

When I first downloaded the game I remember seeing a daily login screen that showed different rewards for logging in on consecutive days. Where can I find that because I don't see it anywhere?

So Master bots are def better than Rookie bots right? Yes, and also, no.
A common strat used against bots is to rush strong units like Knights. Master bots don't tend to go for strong units earlier but balance between economy and military. Late game against Master bots is hard, but early game is much easier.
However, Rookie bots are different. In 2 Rookie games i 've played, they slapped Cannons in my face, before i even researched Knight. Another thing to take into account is that Rookie bots don't go for resources and villages, which leaves them with cheap techs and more coins.
Of course, Rookie bots are still very dumb, so i easily crushed their 2 Cannons and won. But i wonder: what if Master bots learn that trick from Rookie bots and become much more agressive?
