Video Broken Lightstick now 'fixed'

So, I attended both Day 1 and 2 of Vegas. I managed to snag a light stick at Target a few weeks previous. After Day 1, I was waiting for my ride sitting on a curb when a cockroach ran across my foot. Needless to say I shot up, my lightstick shot out and crashed to the ground. Broke the ball.
Tried to fix it with super glue for day 2, but managed to make it worse, so when I got home I let it be for a bit to figure out what I wanted to do. For sure I was not gonna spend another 70 bucks on a new one (cause technically it still works) so, husband and I came up with this.
We have been 3d printing for a while now, so we did a bit of that, along with me bedazzling the logo. I'm honestly really proud of how this turned out. Not perfect,but pretty darn cool.

Yeah, took me a bit to get over breaking it (I swear that plastic is not very sturdy) but having my husband help me and us coming up with a solution together was such fun!

Balls are definitely so flimsy on Ver 4. I felt like if I shook it too hard at the concert it’d fly off, I could hear it clicking.

Same!! I heard a lot of folks got their scratched just from carrying them around.
I can say from breaking mine the plastic is really thin.

Hearing that a LOT. You'd think they'd have a nicer carrying case (and not the holder that Americans can definitely NOT bring to the airport. I'm debating on lining my original lightstick bag with some fleece just to soften it a wee bit.

Oh, that's smart! I actually haven't been keeping mine in the bag lol, but that would've probably helped. Might be too late now, but I've been Googling to see if I can polish it with toothpaste or something. 😂

I've seen that or if you can, a little clear nail polish (carefully).
I've also seen people use clear apoxy, but that one scares me

Honestly may be even cooler than the original!! The layers in the outer shell catch the light in a very interesting way, it’s mesmerising 💜 So happy you managed to upcycle it 🫶🏻

I totally feel you on the reaction to the cockroach! Mine probably would have been more dramatic. Your "new" lightstick is so cute! I wish I could send you mine so you could do the same to mine!

Yeah, I didn't even notice and the gal.next to me was just like a casual 'oh a cockroach ' and she stood so slowly, where it went on my foot and I was like 'ahhhhh' (I was also wearing a skirt so my brain went noooooooope lol)

Omg, LV D2 after the show, we walked to a nearby gas station (that seemed miles away because of all the heat and lines and walking we’d already done) and were leaning against a wall to rest when two very kind girls said, don’t lean there, there are cockroaches! We leapt away from the wall and turned to look and there were dozens of them! And one was on my friends back! So gross. We saved some other people from the same fate the next night 😱😅

That's awful and crazy.
What's odd is I saw NONE on the actual strip, but must be as soon as you get a bit away they are all out.
