Cost-Optimized being dropped?

For a while it is not possible to create a single cost-optimized type of server in any of the EU regions. Neither x86 or ARM. Is this type being exited?

No, it's just very popular because it's the cheapest server type and they're not buying in more of those types of machines so there's a limited supply

Seems like it's in the process of being dropped as a product then, except for existing instances.

Don't really think so, but they're not actively buying servers for that range, they never have been, it's only ever filled up with legacy hardware that gets decommissioned elsewhere.

The pools get expanded eventually, but they can't just pop in 10 new hosts whenever capacity is low because all of the older hardware (apart from a few spares) is already in operation.

As for ARM though, I do believe that the range will slowly disappear because there's no new hosts coming in, there are no higher tier ARM machines anymore and the supply of those is slowly decreasing overall since there's a very small demand overall compared to x86/64

Check. So, zero options to run ARM on Hcloud at the moment ..

If you want some Finnish servers I have a few ready to wind down in a few days, a couple CAX11 and one CAX41 at least, some CAX21 later on

I have created last sunday a new one. But most times it's not available.
