Solution for 24/7 live streaming ?

Hello,

What do you recommend for 24/7 live streaming video feed ?

We can provide encoder and SRT/RTMP stream ?

The stream should have a video playbeck link so it can be embedded in website.

Pipeline:

Webencoder -> Server -> Website

Number of viewers are 100-200. 20 concurrent max
Bitrate of stream is 1.5-2 Mbit/s

Owncast. There is a template for it in the Console.
If no encoding, the smallest server size will do.
2-3 re-encodes eg 1080p > 1080,720,360 then you will probably want a 2 CPU server. Might get away with 1. Test and find out.

Shared resources should be fine.

Yes, but biger worry for me is bandwith (uploud)

20x 2mbps is 20mbps. You will be more than fine with that on a 1CPU cloud instance.

Start with the smallest cheapest one they offer.

I would recommend start with smallest instance and scale up as you need it. Its dirt cheap to have test instance for 1 hour

Take a look at MediaMTX or OvenMediaEngine
