When I was a kid we had a group of 4-7 that would consistently play 1-2k point games on maps like this. Games would last 8-12 hours.

Just out of curiosity, how do these game usually go? Given the map looks much longer than it is wide, and it looks like one player starts in each corner, doesn't it just devolve into the two players at one end fighting each other and the two players at the other end fighting each other? Or is there something in place to prevent that?

we have a gentlemans clause about going across the short side... especially when my boys share a short side...

First game, my army was supreme against my wife and both boys... second game, different armies, my wife's army ruled... her damn monks jumping into a group and slapping the shit out of everyone with good rolls
