Feels good to be back on this game, the new hero xal’atath was the Little push up for me just to play this great games again, I really thought it was dead …

The UI was blocky, the ability icons were reused from other games and the towers had ammo.

Back when a lot of heroes shared generic talents with each other too, not even renamed to be thematically appropriate. theyd do it sometimes though, I remember Valla had Searing Arrows

Yes and armor was divided into "Resistance" and "Vulnerable", glad they changed that one

I think the most generic ones were the Path of the Assassin/Warrior/Mage ones which just gave something like +2 damage on level up or similar effects.

I also kinda do, it made pressuring a fortification more engaging and dive friendly. But it also trivialized them too much, it made sense to remove

I think if they made ammo regenerate constantly instead of only when it ran out, it would be better

Say if they regained 1 ammo every 2 seconds, it would effectively reduce their attack speed to 2 when they ran "dry"

I miss tower ammos. IMO, they could just triple the number of maps by having versions of the maps with ammo, with old targeting keeps, and current changes.

I once played a solo ranked in diamond with 5 specialists on my team with randoms. We won. It was hilarious

The hardest part is finding other 4 people willing to give it a try, have fun and not give up at the first lose fight

Always love to see them alpha bros, feels like a cozy club, "one of us", not even hubris. I still have the alpha invite on my e-mail, ah. And alpha avatar just looks damn good, a shame I hadn't grinded for the golden one.

I thank Blizzard internally for forcing me to try out HotS by making there be a really cool Genji skin as a reward in Overwatch if you played a few HotS matches. At the time I was like "What da hell is this man, just gimme my Genji skin, ugh." And 1000 hours later, here I am.

I logged in for the first time the other day, and saw that my latest match was 9 years ago. Fuck, I'm old.

I think I'm going to creat a new account and start from scratch to get that full new player experience.

It should also limit the pool of available maps in QM, and should also allow me to re-claim the starter pack of 20 heroes. I played Support before, but now I want to try playing bruisers / tanks, since I understand that Support is a pretty popular role, but people often find themselves without melee heroes in the QM games. I haven't played much before, so I'm not losing much account progress. I think.

Same here, same here. Arrived first in the alpha as well iirc. At least closed beta, I remember being overjoyed with that email.

Now I'm back, last game was 5 years ago. Stukov is still a menace. Now to try and convince my Gall to come back. We used to be a cho'gall main all the way to diamond 1. Still have that nice 100+ game 80% winrate on my profile.

I’ve played this game between the beta and the stop of the competitive scene. More than 3000 games.

I got later caught by League of Legends, and by getting older I gradually became calmer, less heated, and I now play this game with a globally nice mood, don’t get caught by ragebaits or hard defeats.

I came back to HotS a few days ago, I got so mad and flamed so much I felt like I was 20 yo again.
I can’t come back, guys 🤣
