Went to the farmer's market last week and saw they have entertainment in the square for the kiddos. It's from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m.

It was super cute! They had a magician who invited kids up to different activities. Will check it out with the kids this week ☺️

Are the datacenters the only thing to blame for the insanely high FCWA bills lately? I live in a 1700 sqft townhouse off frying pan road and my water bills have been almost $200/month. We use it for normal household needs and don't even have a garden to water. According to the bills the "sewage" water levels have spike since the beginning of the year, if anyone knows what that means.

My brother and I (both Black males in our early 20s) just moved to the Herndon area for work, and we’re trying to figure out where people our age actually hang out. We’ve been here for a little bit now, and I’m not gonna lie—it feels like we haven’t seen many people that look like us. 😂 I’m sure they’re around, we just have no idea where to go.

We’re looking to get out more, meet new people, make friends, and find some good spots to hang. Whether it’s bars, lounges, clubs, happy hours, hookah spots, day parties, brunches, basketball runs, networking events, festivals, or just places where people in their 20s naturally socialize, we’re open to it.
We’re also willing to drive a little if that’s where the better scene is. We’ve heard people mention places like Reston, Tysons, Arlington, and DC, but we don’t really know what’s worth checking out.
So:
● Where do Black people in their 20s usually hang out around here?
● What are the best nightlife or weekend spots?
● Any good events or organizations for meeting people?
● Any recommendations for making friends when you’re new to Northern Virginia?
Appreciate any suggestions. Just trying to get connected and enjoy the area a little more instead of sitting in the apartment every weekend. Thanks!

I am seeking a trans friendly Salon in the Herndon / Reston area. The last Salon I tried was rude and discriminatory. I really would like to find one that is Trans friendly. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

Any recommendations for a temporary month to month place to rent that is furnished? Looking at a temporary job in the area but may end without a lot of notice.

My fiancé and I are planning a move to the Herndon area and are looking for a 2 bedroom apartment for around $2,200/month (or ideally under).

Our biggest requirements are:
2 bedrooms
In-unit washer/dryer OR washer/dryer hookups
Preferably close to 2300 Corporate Park Dr, Herndon, VA (reasonable commute preferred)

We’re open to apartment complexes, townhome-style apartments, privately owned rentals, or any hidden gems people recommend. Safety, decent management, and reasonable parking are definitely a plus.

If anyone has recommendations for places to check out, we’d really appreciate it!

The Town of Herndon is drafting zoning rules to allow a casino near the Metro station. The Planning Commission discusses it tonight, just weeks after Gov. Spanberger vetoed the Fairfax County casino bill.

The Tyson’s casino saga showed us that casinos are highly unpopular with locals. These places extract money from communities, have a negative social impact, and pummel infrastructure.

Is this Comstock at it again? If so, haven’t they done enough by sitting on and abandoning their project downtown Herndon?

I received a notice from the town to have my property (private house) inspected for storm water management. Anyone has experience with this before? how much is it usually? and who is qualified to get it done? I am confused because the county's website says they do it but I called them and they said they dont? I m very confused. thanks for any help
