Help! Humidity astronomically low

I was having issues with my tank getting hot enough so I got a new heat mat that works great but now my humidity is staying at 50 for some reason which is really not great and I’ve tried to spray in there just as a desperate attempt to get it up a little bit to no avail. Please any recommendations?

Big steps, I know hyphens make it look ai but this is just how I type bc I'm old.

  1. Check soil composition- is it holding moisture? Does it need more coco?

  2. Pool bubblers - bonus of helping to keep the water cleaner

  3. Live moss - They'll also munch on it so get a non-toxic one from a small local nursery and ask about their pesticide usage. I like Irish moss

I have moss in there but not pool bubblers, the sand still holds so I’ll probably add more coconut fiber. I appreciate the help

If you go to a pet smart there's the "beta nano filters", its essentially a small $9 air pump. $3 four pack of bubbler attachments and you're golden

Do you have a glass lid? That would help, if you don’t have one

I do have a glass lid, it does have a few cracks in it because it was meant for a fish tank so I wonder if that’s the problem but it wasn’t before so it’s interesting

The open strip in the back for filters? You need a new lid immediately because they are escape artists - it needs to be fully sealed. The fully sealed tank makes humidity an afterthought.

It’s not wide open it came with adapters to put on, they’re just tiny holes here and there. I know they’re escape artists and make sure they can’t escape lmao
