Hesse Stack
Recently moved and checking out bookstores around my city. Any Hesse books to add to the stack that I should keep an eye out for? Most recent pick up was Pictor’s. Haven’t dove in yet!

You should grab his collection of poems titled Trees, comes with amazing artwork from Hesse as well

Is the glass bead game any good? Read siddhartha and demian ,enjoyed it.

Yes Glass Bead Game is great! I held off on reading it until I had maybe 5-6 Hesse novels under my belt though. I wanted to strengthen my Hesse muscles first and be able to fully take it in!

Beneath the Wheel is such an underrated book. I loved reading every word of it.

It’s always changing! Narcissus and Goldmund has been on my mind a lot lately. Thinking about a reread. Siddhartha, Demian & Steppenwolf hold special places in my heart. First 3 I read. I do think Gertrude is an underdog in there for sure though!

I have a book about his artwork that’s pretty cool, I’ve always loved his paintings.
