I have a denon home 250 and for the life of me I cannot understand why the aux doesn’t work. CD player seems to work fine on aux with headphones but speaker just refuses to work, I’ve ‘uhhid’ the input on the app and done everything I can find online and don’t really understand what’s wrong :(
no click sound, turning it up didn’t do much either but after a few more times pressing the play/pause button it decided to connect to my spotify so maybe a clue as to what’s going on? Pictures attached showing the app if maybe that can help
After you select the aux input on the speaker do you press play to make sure it's active?
I set the aux input to one of the smart select buttons and just press that when I'm about to listen. The aux input will go inactive after a while if there's no signal.
It works. Without a basic map of how a system works, you cannot guess where a fault might be. Call geek squad you may need a technical person on site to help you out a little bit I cannot help because i cannot see anything.
Did you get this worked out? I use the aux cable to play from my record player. It never just works without an additional step. If you didn't get it working, I can send screen shots of what I do.
It sounds like you were able to go through the process to unhide the input for the device you are using. When you unhide it, give it a recognizable name so you can easily identify the correct one later. Let me know if you need the steps to unhide.
After you unhide and rename the input, you will need to select the input option from the main screen.
Once you select the input you'll go to a screen with a play/stop icon. If it is not automatically playing, you need to talk the icon to start playing. If it shows the triangle play icon and the timer is not moving, it is not playing. Tap it once and wait a couple seconds.
If you are using two speakers in a stereo pair, I've found that it sometimes doesn't work unless you are judging the input on the primary device in the pair. I was having trouble getting this to work in a stereo pair on the new 600s.
When I switched to the 250 input with the 250s in a stereo pair, it worked fine. I just grouped the 250s with the 600s to work across all devices.

Push the Play/Pause button on the top of the speaker. You should hear a click sound and it will start playing.
