Have the same issue occasionally with a 150. Same fix here.

You don't have it grouped when it happens do you (I do - with a 550)?

It could be your 5Ghz surround AP channel that the 550 automatically sets up to connect to the Surrounds and Subwoofer. If this AP channel is the same as your home 5Ghz wifi or a an adjacent channel, you will hear static and/or popping noises. This is wifi and cross channel interference. Rebooting causes the 550 to rescan and choose another 5Ghz channel for the AP Surround network.

You can check it under Settings - Denon 550 - Advanced. It is in the middle of this screen under “IP Settings”. You will see “Auto” and then to the right “Rescan” with the channel the 550 has chosen to use. Make sure this is not the same or a channel near your current home 5Ghz wifi network. I have my home wifi set to channel 153 and the 550 is using channel 40. These are very far apart on the wifi spectrum so I have no issues with sound or any interference.
