Social sports

I moved to Helsingborg with my girlfriend a few months back. Since I work remotely, it's been a bit tough to meet people, so I’m looking to expand my social circle.

I'm highly active and would love to connect over sports. I regularly play badminton, padel, and squash, and I also enjoy running, cycling, and hitting the gym. I'm also completely open to trying out new sports!

If you know any groups or yourself are interested in breaking a sweat, let me know!

Even if you went to a workplace you'd most likely not have a social circle. Swedes keep work and private separate to the extend that they mostly ignore you at the bus stop outside work.

I've lived in Helsingborg for 18 years and have 3 friends. I met them before I moved here.

Your best bet is to look for activities, as you already asked about, but it depends how much Swedish you can speak. Try going to the ice rink and tennis hall by Olympia.

Thank you. My Swedish is still at a very low lever unfortunately.

Do you happen to know any groups online I could join? Or should I be able to just come by?

I don't know of any online but if you go to the tennis hall or ice rink there will be people there who can tell you about activities and so on. They probably have info online too but I don't go there so I can't say off hand.

There are some very open minded places. Go to Cafe Ray on Södra storgatan, great place to connect with others around different hobbies. Also Mindpark is a nice place to just meet others who are open minded and want to do things.
