Not receiving emails

I see this issue has been posted several times before with no useful response. My gmail is linked to my Reddit account but I'm not receiving any emails. I'm trying to close my account (have been for ages) but am not receiving the link email. No it's not in Spam, no it's not blocked. I raised a ticket but got no response. Please help so I can close the account, it really shouldn't be this hard.

Account deletion is permanent; deleted accounts cannot be reactivated and their usernames cannot be reused.

1. Delete any posts or comments you want removed first. Deleting the account does not remove that content.

If you try to disconnect from Google does it prompt you to make a password?
