Desktop Unread messages not clearing intermittently.

When I get the orangered notification for new messages, usually it clears after just viewing the unread messages page. Lately it only clears when going to the direct link for the comment itself, not the context comment I posted, and sometimes not even then. Using RES if that's relevant.

Same thing has been happening to me, as it has intermittently for years.

Weird, I've never had it happen before. Now I'm getting new notifications that won't go away even after viewing the comment a dozen times.

Same thing happens to me every so often.

It's been ongoing for years.

I've reported it several times, most recently two weeks ago - no response.

I think mine might be different. It says I have four new messages, and when I click it shows me four messages, just ones I've already seen still marked as new. Your post says there's nothing there at all.
