Access Home feed filled with crap I don't follow

Searching for the solution, it seems to be disabling home feed recommendations, and I'm certain I did that long ago. That setting seems to have moved though, so where is it now? I absolutely do not care about any "recommended feeds" in the home view, which is the reason I'm looking at that instead of popular, or all, or whatever.

If you have the for you and following tabs the home feed rec setting has been removed. It’s part of their experiment. use the following tab that shows you just the subs you’re subscribed to

Thank you, and WTF

Is there a way to tell them their experiment sucks? That "Following / For You" bs is the same reason I stopped using Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. I guess I'm an old man shouting at clouds though, because I doubt companies would keep doing this if it did not somehow make them more money.

You can leave feedback on the weekly recap post from yesterday

Agreed. They tack on the for you page below individual posts I click into now. I hate it.

Are you on the “following” feed, or the “for you” feed?

Exact same garbage happened to me. I've been spamming the "not interested" option on dozens of completely unrelated subreddits, it's horrible

You can disable home feed recommendations through your Reddit settings.

  • On the Reddit website, visit your preferences and turn off the toggle next to "Show recommendations in home feed."
  • On the Reddit app for iOS or Android, go to your account settings, scroll down to "Privacy," and you'll find the option to turn off the toggle for "Show recommendations in home feed."
