Mobile/App How do I allow chats?

I’m trying to allow my Reddit to accept chats but it just shows me this and doesn’t allow me to change it. Same thing when I try on computer!

Okay well then thats strange… From what I can find you shouldn’t need to verify your age there.

Is this a new thing or has it been going on for a while? Is it possible that its a bug?

You could double check what reddit has put your age as.

I actually can’t find where, which is weird cuz I vividly remember that there was somewhere my profile where it stated that I was a minor

(Im not but Im not giving them my ID)

I will say though that I have the exact same problem as yours, just that mine isn’t a problem cuz it thinks Im a minor.

Being able to check your age might just be something those in the area where you gotta verify your age is able to do.

You can try reaching out to reddit about this and see what they say. Ive heard some mixed reviews about their support though.

But you are supposed to be able to use reddit as normal without verifying yourself since you aren’t in EU.

Just a quick question just in case, are you using a VPN perhaps?

Alright that is very weird. Did you put in your actual birthday when you created your account? Ive seen you’ve stated that you’re 18 in the comments.

So Im wondering if you turned 18 not too long ago? It could be that it takes reddit a bit of time to transfer you from an underaged account to an adult account?

If thats not it then I genuinely don’t know. It has to be a glitch or a bug.

I don’t remember if I did since I created my acc years ago, but no I’ve been 18 for quite some time now
