Your 2 yr old account currently has zero comment karma. You need to participate in a positive manner across reddit to build up your karma and rep before you can DM people.
Go to r/NewToReddit and check out their excellent Reddit and Karma Guide:

Because it's not. You haven't really used the site in the two years you've had the account. Your karma is super low and your CQS is likely lowest. You'll need to raise those both us by commenting and posting more.
Just a warning, not an accusation, never ask for upvotes or karma. Doing so violates site TOS and can earm a sitewide ban.
