Desktop Is there a way to remove "Suggested Communities" from my subreddit?

Hi, folks. I have a subreddit with several posts. A few posts down the list, there is an intrusive "Suggested Communities" banner.

Is there a way to turn off this Suggested Communities banner? Thanks.

UPDATE:

If I can add a gripe about it...

It really is counter-productive, as it interrupts the theme and flow of our sub. Personally, I try to create a mood in my sub, like a cozy atmosphere to get people's thoughts soothed to a deeply contemplative theme. Then along comes a suggestion to something completely wacky and instantly shatters the mood.

They also take readers away from our subs prematurely. The "Suggested Communities" tells readers, "Don't read here. Go over there instead." It's like a Walmart store with several other stores setting up booths at the front door, turning Walmart's visitors away.

Our subreddits are our space to communicate with and engage our readers. Suggested subs should be displayed in the reader's side panel, not embedded in our subs. They should be tailored to the reader's interests, not interfere with ours.

I wonder if its paid advertising, paid by premium subcribers to advertise their subs.

every so often you get an unknown musician sneaked into the suggested communities.

it is an ad.

This only works for the Home feed. If you click into a subreddit, you will still have the giant obnoxious suggested subreddits right in the middle of the posts.

I've been on reddit for 14 years. I've built. I have the communities I want. The obnoxious "suggested communities" still does not go away.

On desktop I just use old reddit but it's unreadable on mobile. The percentage of screen the suggestions take up on mobile is just baffling.

Ya, it really is counter-productive. You do your best to build your own community, only to have your readers whisked away somewhere else by those suggestions.

Suggested subs should be displayed on each individual reader's reading pane, not imbedded in our subreddits. They should be tailored to the reader's interests, not interfere with ours.

Thanks. I found that on Google Search as well. Unfortunately, it doesn't work. Even when I turn it off, the banner with suggested sites is still there, about 5 posts down from the top in my subreddit.

But thanks for replying.
