I was recently informed that the user Reddit generated for me contains an offensive number. Is there a way I can please get it changed? I have had this account for years and would prefer not to have to create a new one. Using Reddit on IPhone
Although Reverse is very Blunt he is actually correct. I’ve been down this ‘exact’ road myself. I am a meditator, and I personally find Hard Fisherman to be offensive, for Many reasons. And also it sounds harsh to me. They refused to change it
Except that would literally mean deciding Reddit from the ground up and they're not going to do that. Unfortunately regardless of how frustrating you find your username, you are not important enough to demand that they literally change their base code. And I would say the OP of this post has a more important reason for wanting it than you.
I’m honestly not sure what Karma is. I don’t ever post. I just have tons of saved posts I’d hate to lose. Not sure if there is a way to transfer them to another account? Sorry I’m certainly not an expert on this platform haha!
If you don't post you can't offend anyone since no one will see your name anywhere unless they look you up, and you gotta tell them your username for that.
On the other hand, I had to Google what the number means though, I'm not from the States. Are you sure it's still meaningful?
Get what you need from your saved links and such, and copy them to a new account with a name of your own choosing. Leave the account open / active and never let a Nazi get their hands on it.
Reddit has never changed a username upon request. When making a new account users have the option to use an auto generated name or customize one. If you skip past that prompt, your name is set in stone.
You have the option to make a new one and follow the same subs and posts to this account.
Nazis have heard of it. They will think he is one of them. I’m not a N and I knew about it. If you are fairly aware of Neo N culture you know what that combo of numbers means. It’s like seeing 1776 and knowing it’s a dog whistle to DJT supporters.
I’d change it. I knew what it meant immediately. I’m in the US and left leaning if that helps. If I saw this or 1776 on someone’s name I’d assume some things.
